The United States already beat the Canadian mens hockey team so therefore I believe the US will do it again for the gold
Canada is going for a world record, you better believe they're going to put all that they can into the game
You all raise good points, I guess you just have to try to look past being bias and really watch the overall game. I think Canada has a very good chance of surprising you guys, yet again it wouldn't be too surprising for me if U.S.A would win.
yep, that's the one. We're tied with Soviet Union for most golds won at a winter games, and hockey seems to be the last event? Whatever, I'll still be happy because we won more golds than any other country, and I'm not one of the canadians that absolutely love hockey, but when it comes to this event, I think I get it for once. the hype
I believe in Canada all the way. We have some pretty good players. We'll get our act together this time Luongo & Crosby! <3 & I am not a fan of Pronger..but he did pretty well when he was with the Oilers until he decided to leave.. Doesn't really matter either way. In the end it's just another good game of hockey. Nothing offensive about that, regardless of who wins and who supports who.
*chants* USA USA USA USA USA USA all the way, they already beat the canadians once, they will manage to do it again
CANADA FTW! for people who say that USA are gonna win simply because they won the last game against canada, that is not really a reason. Canada outshot the states 45-23. thats almost 2-1! yet they lost! imo, the weak link that resulted in canada losing the game against the USA was the goalie, Brodeur. He was just not performing well that day. and now that Luongo is playing, and he has been performing amazingly. i really do think that it is an even match up because USA very obviously has the superior goalie, but with Canadian having an overwhelmingly much better amount of high scoring forward line ups. edit: and we have DEPTH.
U.S. for the sole reason that we are better at everything and we forgot Canada even existed until the Olympics was hosted in Vancouver. =)
