I don't like the ipad... I think if they had added a cd drive that could rip music directly to it that it would be amazing!

I think that's a bad idea, actually. It would probably take up moar space, make it heavier and overall, it just wouldn't be 'modern' anymore. xP That's why they have iPods, so you don't have to use CDs. O___O;;;

 

Don't buy the iPad it's overrated...

 

It'd be actually interesting to hear an opinion from a person who has actually BOUGHT the iPad.

Well, obviously, they would announce the iPad to be absolutely brilliant, (since they spent money on it) and talk about how much it does, how much faster it is and even though it's big, it's light and so on. XD

I purchased one, but it's not actually released for another month so i don't have it yet. I also own a Macbook Pro, an iMac, and an iPod Touch.

I purchase all of Apple's products because they are the only company that actually produces the quality i pay for. From the power and endurance of the product, right down to the packaging and the service. I have faith the iPad will be no different.

None of you people can do anything except say "bigger ipod touch". Let's pretend the iPod Touch/iPhone DOES NOT exist. What would be your opinion of the product then? You keep comparing the two as if they are in the same category of products, but they aren't. The iPad is Apple's netbook. It's not an iPod. It's not a laptop, so it shouldn't be compared to either of them.


Example: You have a toy car. It's remote control. You can drive it anywhere and even play a little mini radio on it with little air conditioners. Does that mean you wouldn't want a real car as well? It's just a bigger version with more power and capabilities than the toy car. Oh wait, you would! Because they are two different categories of products. You need a REAL car too.

 

Okay, if I was comparing it to nothing, I would say, hmm, looks like a giant something I have seen before. Not sure what that is. But seems like every apple product ever made, but bigger. The iPad will be a functional product as all apple products are, but my question is why? Why make a product that is so similar to all of your other products?

 

I partially agree with you on this one. There's no reason to compare the iPad with the iPhone or iPod Touch since they have completely different functions. But the iPad had a great possibility of becoming much more than just a netbook, but is hindered by it's low specs. Cram in a bigger hard drive, expand the iPhone OS especially for the iPad and I'd be happy to buy one. At the moment, I'd only use it as a portfolio if I were to buy one, due to the price/hardware ratio. I'll have to pass on this one.

 

Ipad looks amazing, but it also looks like a bigger itouch =/

If anyone personally owns one, is it good? =S

 

Since nobody except for knocturne (who hasn't got it yet) has one, I think it's better to go look at reviews on what the "experts" say about the iPad.

looks and functions pretty much like an ipod touch imo. too big too. unless you live in a nice neighborhood, dont buy it. if you live in the ghetto and own one of these, good luck to you as you will probably only have it for so much longer.

 

Nobody has it yet because it's not shipping until April. I'll make a topic reviewing it when i finally get it.

Big Ipod haha =] Iono about it though, I think I'd rather just get a laptop, easier to type and I would think easier to use since you don't have to look down on the screen

Lol...Dang, now I gotta buy one of these. Pretty interested. I might wait a week or two after it is released incase of flaws or something. They better make a good case or w/e for this thing. One drop on concrete or a hard wood floor= :O Price is actually pretty reasonable. Not gonna lie. Probably have to buy the one with internet which is like 150$ more and 30$ a month (correct me if I'm wrong) :|

I like my itouch just fine, because it's small and convenient.
Ipad is kinda big? Idk. not for me. I'm sure it's awesome though
