Anyone seen it? I saw it today, I hadn't seen a trailer or anything, I had no idea what it was before it started - so I had read no reviews etc. (Btw, I think it got a lot of bad reviews). And at first I hated it. But then the story kinda started and omg, I really liked it =D I'm really really into scary movies, and this one is very creepy. It had too much of this supernatural story to it, and I think if you didn't follow that little girl it would've been better. But still, worth a watch, I really liked it :3 and stanley is just the best serial killer ever ^ ______ ^ (I mean, his acting is so great..)
The Lovely Bones is one of my favorite books ever, so I went into the movie with high expectations and was pretty disappointed. I know that movies are never as good as books but I feel like way too much was changed/left out. :/
Oh yeah, I heard it was based on a book - I've never heard of it though. But I always think the books are better, so I probably wouldn't have liked the movie if I'd read the book first..
I definitely recommend reading the book though...it's amazing. Just view the book and the movie as two entirely separate things.
I saw this recently too. It was pretty good. Didn't particularly like the whole supernatural stuff either. The serial killer was extremely creepy and disgusting. When they were talking about all his child victims I felt sick. The plot was kind of all over the place, which happens frequently with movies based on books. I feel like if they had tried to concentrate on trying to figure out the killer and took out some of the filler it would have been more captivating. Overall, a decent movie though.
The trailer for The Lovely Bones keeps playing on repeat on On Demand (Comcast) and it creeps me out every time I see it. I haven't seen the movie and I don't plan on it, but I suspect that Stanley Tucci as the villain (so out of character for him) would be awesome.
That's what I thought!!! But Stanley is absolutely amazing as the serial killer - he is SO creepy, and I often think of this movie when I'm at home alone and I look out of the windows *shrugs*
I didn't think that movie was creepy or anything. At first, you think you know what is going to happen, but then you are wrong. I got really into it, but I was sooooo disappointed with the ending. It was just too sad for me and to think that her sister went through all that horror to get evidence and just wasn't how it was suppose to be to me. Very creative ending I must admit.
It was an incredibly good movie. I actually cried at the end and I had been close to tears practically the whole movie.
ahh.. i hate reading lol i always prefer to watch the film got better things to do than read a book xD plus takes longer than a film lol
I enjoyed the movie so much, specially the special effects... I Never read the book, I'm planing to do this next month.
