My cousin is going to UCLA and she felt the aftershocks of the Baja one in her dorm room.. she was so freaked!!! XD So many earthquakes.. I wonder where the next one will pop up! :O
Do you normally have earthquakes there? California is notorious for earthquakes.. they happen practically every day but usually aren't big enough to make an impact lol.
So move a little to the east of the fault and you'll be a-okay Isn't that what caused the Baja earthquake? or does it not go down that far? (not good with geology lol)
So earthquakes are going to destroy the planet? That's depressing. Here in Illinois we've had a few mini earthquakes which has been really odd. Of course I slept through them all, having to hear about it the following morning...
Thats one think I'm grateful for in Australia... Not living on or near any fault lines. Can't remember the last earthquake that happened in Australia. A couple of cyclones up the top of Australia, in the tropics.. But I live down South so I'm okay California = Earthquakes Be safe Loco... Be safe. And Erik - I don't think I could live in a place that was notorious for that sort of natural disaster... Surely the places there must be cheaper to account for that eh?
There hasn't been a big earthquake in Northern Cali for a long time. Closest one was in San Francisco in the 80s I wanna say? So I'm not too worried about it lol... *knock on wood* And So Cali is NOT cheaper XD
..I didn't mean Cali cheaper. I meant where Erik lives. Gosh, you're living an awesome beachfront life... Hot days.. Hot chicks (women)... Hot Blokes (Men...). Although, it is hotter here I think... Yours is a good hot. I'm jealous EDIT: I've since been informed Erik lives in Cali too.. Wow I fail.
There's no beach where I am It's two hours away... and it sucks! The hottest it gets here is around 100 F in the summer.. but at the same time, the lowest it gets in the winter is 40 F Nothing TOO extreme which is nice!
haha no, so cal is pronbably the most expensive place in the united states, maybe behind new york. But heather, the san andreas doesnt go down to baja. So the san andreas is still due :/ Yeah, I should move, because phee is right, it could be worse than katrina haha. But at least the houses and stuff are built to withstand earthquakes
In that case erik... get out while you can!!! lol Move up to your house in nor cal, you'll be safe there.
It's really scary. There was an even an earthquake in the midwest. It was tiny compared to those disasters, but it's still freaky.
haha yeah, I could understand someone in the midwest being scared by even a small earthquake. They are just scary in general lol. I mean I am used to them, so usually I will just sit down until it passes, but still the idea of the eath under you shaking violently is horrible haha
I've lived in Cali my whole life and have yet to feel an earthquake.. or at least I don't think I have lol. Then again I must not live on the fault line
