so i might be going to see this movie when it comes out. ive never wateched the anime, and im no really a huge fan of m knight shamalan...anyone watch the anime and think this will be a good movie...it looks pretty good, bit im not sure
I really liked it but I don't think its an anime more of a cartoon. Its really good though. I'd recommend it.
Yea.. Its way more of a cartoon.... But either way I'm going to see it Thursday. From the previews it looks pretty sick. But the only problem is most the movie is probably going to be CGI.
I looooooved the cartoon a lot. I don't think the movie will live up to the animated series, but I'm going to go see it anyway since the series' story is strong enough to stand on its own, even if M. Knight screwed up the casting and got rid of some characters.
I really liked the show. It was really good. Too bad it ended. Im not gonna bother watching the movie though. Might be good but theres better stuff out there.
I'm not sure if I'm going to go, I'll have to see if my nephew wants to go. He's young and into all that kind of stuff.
This movie looks SICK, effects look good, actors aren't nothing special, but it looks like an amazing movie
Yeah, I agree. I'm gonna go just for the wow factor, if not because the show was AWESOME! Is it out already?
Im gonna see the movie only because I've seen the series. And the movie is coming out tomorrow. (Thursday July 1st)
Post back! Id like your opinion on the movie. Specifically, does it follow the plot in the series? I wonder how the whole series could be put into a 2 hour movie.
i saw another preview for it it really looks like the movie itself will be awful...itll just be cool special effects and all cgi
I went and saw it today. Same storyline. Just alot more condensed down. Was kinda disappointed the whole movie was just the water book. Because at the end everybody was like...wait....is it over? Kinda thought some of the actors seemed like amateurs and weren't the best.. lol Oh--and finally, it was weird seeing the characters re-created in real life. Just the voices and faces weren't the one's im used to seeing on the show. So it was very weird. Overall, I'd say a 7.3/10
I loved the show, and I am a huge fan of mr Shyamalan, so I'm definitely going to go see it, but I'm still annoyed because my favourite character won't be in it, since it's focusing on the early episodes.
I saw it yesterday and I was so let-down :[ The characters weren't true to the show, there was like almost zero humor like the show, and so many things didn't happen according to story :/ Shyamalan failed me!!!! I still think you guys should all see it and tell me what you think though
I saw this yesterday in 3D. I thought the acting was done poorly. The effects looked cool though. I didn't know there was going to be more than one movie so I was wondering why after an hour and fifteen minutes, the kid was still trying to master water bending. I never really followed the show so I can't comment on how true to the show it was. Overall, it was okay -- lots of room for improvement.
Hopefully by the next movie the actors will have alot more experience and will be alot better! Arcrutus also pointed out something I forgot to say...parts of the movie didn't belong there. They were much different--if not, even from the show to begin with.
