I wish it was legalized, but realistically it will never be (at least not anywhere in the near future). Weed is not even "harming" yourself, and is much, much safer than drinking is and will ever be.
I've lived with weed smokers several times. I've seen people feen for weed so badly they got as nasty as rabid bears and looked like they were about to chew their fingers off if they didn't get some soon. The lengths they went to in the end to get it were often ridiculous. I've seen couples buy weed and then get into loud screaming fights over how they were going to buy groceries for themselves and their children. Of course, this isn't rare knowledge - every pothead in America knows what the real story is. But they'll pretend and deny and argue to get what they want, and the morons we have running the country will probably give it to them. I just hope that when weed-related car accidents and crimes skyrocket and job "performance", which barely exists in America now, truly becomes a thing of the past, I'm off in another country somewhere. Because the U.S.A. is a dirty toilet and I don't belong here anymore.
Legalize it. I know quite a few people that grow and smoke it for medicinal pourposes and they all seem fine. Another reason they should is to boost the economy, like anything else addictive, they can tax the hell out of it and people will still buy it.
YES YES YES. Mary Jane, pot, bud, weed, smoko, cannabis, THC should definetely be legalized. Why? You only need to pull a cone or smoke a joint to to answer that question LOL not that i would know from personal experience............................ teeheee
I'm assuming everyone who wants it legalized is underage. If they were to legalize it they would put an age restriction to smoke it. In my opinion i would like it to stay illegal. I don't want the big man laying down harsh rules on the weed i smoke.
Ya man, here in CANADA its pretty much legal. Im a daily smoker dude, no harm, ive smoked and drove even. It's not close to as bad as ciggaretts (i also smoke).. Ive been caught by cops with it before, no charge or anything all they did was take it. So I say LEGALIZE AND REGULATE
If the US could just legalize it and tax it... Imagine the economic problems that could be solved. :| Or some fat politician could just get rich.
Don't legalize it, it'll just give people a reason to smoke = lung cancer = death...it'll give people incentive to try it if it's not illegal.
1) Legalizing it would remove the limits on hemp (Which shouldn't be illegal to begin with, since it contains barely any THC). If the USA turns 10% of its farm land into hemp it can end the need for crude oil. Hemp can also be used for anything that you can make trees out of, but its better for the environment and takes up less room. 1 acre of hemp is equal to 4 acres of trees. Both Ford and BMW experimented with making a car out of hemp. 2) If the government controls it, they can tax it. 3) If the government controls it, they can make sure its safer. Right now its considered a gateway drug because it can be laced with other things without you knowing. 4) People can die from alcohol, yet its legal. You can not overdose on weed. 5) Legalizing it would actually reduce crime. o.o I think I've made my point.
It would be a lot easier for me if it was legalised, although half the fun of smoking it is where you have to go not to be seen
Alcohol has proven to be more damaging than marijuana. I'm all for it, but then drug dealers would go out of business if it were legal.
If marijuana were to be legalized, it would have to be legalized in all states. Otherwise, illegal drug dealers in other states would be able to obtain supplies more easily by smuggling marijuana from states in which it is legalized, possibly exacerbating illegal drug use in other states. (Still, I suppose this might contribute in reducing the power of violent drug cartels in Latin America...)
Legalize it. Recreationally. The only reason it's a gateway drug is because of the whole drug dealer scene. I'll get texts from a dealer asking if I want coke or whatever. No, I don't. But if the government handled it, there would be no other pressure to try other drugs. Obviously people shouldn't smoke and drive, but just like alcohol, people will. Driving high is not NEARLY as bad as driving drunk though. But it's still not good. Haha.
I'm 16 and I've never tried it. Although if I wanted to, I could just go out to the highway outside of school and wait for some guy to approach me. Should I? I'm pretty sick of my sheltered life Okay well not really, but it would be nice to relate to others
I really encourage you to avoid illegal drugs. While marijuana is one of the less harmful drugs (comparatively speaking), trying to obtain it might get you involved in other unpleasant activities (other drugs, etc.). And what if you get caught? If this gets on your record, college applications would get a lot more annoying.
Great point. I was just fussing over my application the other day and how I have to write my Suspended for physical assault record. Ugh. I don't think I could handle drug abuse along with that. -.-
All i can say to this is Why not? I understand with all the other drugs but weed? Its naturally grown, why not make it another 18yr's of age and over?
