If you've seen Splice or thought about seeing it, this will speak to your soul. Not suitable for anyone really, but especially for the <18 peeps.

Ahahaaha, I saw the trailers for this and was already turned off by how it looked. This is a hilarious review though. I've already heard stuff about Adrien Brody's character and the alien thing he created :p And LOL at the end of the review with the large font. Guess I won't be seeing this movie anytime soon :p

:O .... WTF?! I'm glad I didn't end up seeing this. I know someone who did and they said it was horrible.. but they didn't tell me it was THAT bad! I think I would've gotten up and left without finishing the movie lol.

So basically I should scratch seeing this movie off the list and not bother? Or is it so bad I would probably laugh so hard it would be worth it?

For some reason this movie was well received by critics. A bit odd, really, since this movie doesn't seem to be very different from a typical B-movie (except in a bad way...).

I watched it 'cause it got a bunch of good reviews from high profile critics and I figured it had been ages since there has been a good monster movie, so I watched it.

I don't see what all the fuss is about really, I mean, some of it was fairly twisted, but those guys on that LJ are acting like it's the most F'd up thing they have ever seen. If that's the case, chances are they just haven't seen all that many movies, particularly horror/indie horror movies.

In the grand scheme of things, Splice is pretty low on the twisted-metre, and it serves better as a reasonably intelligent (given its genre) cautionary tale on the topic of genetic manipulation than a shockfest. It serves better still as an example of what a good director can do with a relatively poor budget.
