Official Pokemon topic!

Hey, someone fix the poll, 'cause I'm pretty sure Gold/Silver were the best old school games of all time.

 

I was going to say the same thing xD Since when were any of the games they put up there old school? When I read the question I expected Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal.

 

Yeah seriously, those game are HARDLY old school.

 

Maybe we're just too old and those games ARE oldschool for other kids

 

Because we're on a Neopets website? 'Cause I'm pretty sure about 25% of these people are 10 year olds that Google'd "Neopets Cheats".

 

That could be true, but some how I feel that 10 year old don't grasp what some stuff are, like proxies.

 

They most definitely don't understand, but hey, it's okay to ask.

 

I know this has been said already, but I still have to say it:
Wtf old school. I'm sure gen 1 is old school, and gen 3 is not so old school. Just a thought.
What about Pokemon Green? There's old school for you.

But if this is a official pokemon thread, HOW STOKED IS EVERYONE FOR BLACK AND WHITE? I'm so excited for them to come out, gonna be friggen awesome.

Do you know which version you're gonna get? I still haven't decided...

Ok guys I updated the poll but it still has votes from the other one so in a day when it expires I will make a new one with all the REAL old school games! *cough*Yellow*cough*

 

I'm not to sure if I want to get the new generation. I was super stoked to buy Soulsilver/Heartgold, but then when i got it, I played for like 3 weeks, and stopped. Maybe this generation will be so drastically different that I'll like it? Idunno, hopefully.

 

Pokemon Green was also never released in America, so it's like, exclusive old school.

Question: Would you be able to identify at least one of the pokemon attributes (dark,fire,electric,flying) if you were shown a picture of it?

With all the new versions I can't really tell what would be effective against the opponents pokemon. The last I played for a long term was pokemon crystal.

I think soul silver and heart gold CAN compare to yellow version. Now you can choose any pokemon to follow your toon.

I think GSC is the best storyline for a pokemon game. Which is why I love my SS. Tralala.

But it still doesn't compare to Yellow. Not at all. The only thing similar is that you can have a Pokemon follow you. Yellow was a great game. For some reason I have 3 Yellow cartridges... Haha. And a Red and Blue. Lost all of my G/S/C. Not cool.

Black and White will be epic though. I'm super stoked.

 

Ok guys there is no poll anymore because it keeps messing up every time I try to make it better. Whatever.

 

My favorites were Crystal, Yellow, and Red. I would pick Yellow over Red but on Red I could do the Missingno. cheat! but I used to play Yellow all the time when I was little. Ahh the memories. I used to start over like every time I beat the Elite 4. I used Nidoking and Nidoqueen all the time. They looked soo epic haha

 

I'm interested to see how black and white do.

I wish they did more with the console games.

 

Just wondering, why do you guys like Pokemon? I'm not even sure why I still like to play it, because the gameplay is pretty much the same for all the games...

 

I know what you mean but the game itself is such a challenge, it is probably one of the hardest games to beat only because you need sooooooo many pokemon to beat it! The challenge is what keeps me playing it!!
