Anyone else planning on watching the Emmys tonight? I'm a big fan of movies and TV and love these awards shows, so I'll definitely be watching. If you are also watching, who are you cheering for? Which awards are you most excited about?
I think I watched the Oscars/Emmies last year. The one where the Hurt Locker won? I didn't know the Emmies were tonight though. :O Anyways, I don't like them anymore. I feel like I'm wasting time waiting for something. :/
I don't actually watch the program, because... well, it's 3 hours and pretty boring. But I like to see who won But Monk won! (Sure, it wasn't for a big one, but Randy Newman's score that one was pretty epic, and at least now they can say they won an Emmy for there last year.) Plus Jim Parsons got the Emmy for outstanding actor in a comedy, so I'm pretty satisfied with the results.
I was very happy with the comedy results, but most of the drama results were annoying. Mad Men isn't as good as the Academy makes it out to be. It seems as if they were like 'Wait, we have to watch all THAT? ...Let's just go with what we said last year'
Yeah, only really saw one award (I think it was for best Drama series?) and they announced the winner and I was like "Wait... did Lost just lose...?" I've never even heard of Mad Men, but I mean the Lost series finale got a theatrical release for crying out loud!
I pirated Mad Men (it's on pay cable) and after three episodes it became labourious to watch it (but I kept going, hoping I would like it more) I just don't understand the appeal. I was very sad D:
