I'm sorry but do you know how ignorant this post made you sound? The only islamists who are violent and blowing stuff up are the extremists. I'm sure to most islams it's going to be little more than a dent in their ego if some crazy christian burns a single Quran. The ONLY reason this would mean anything is because those violent extremists(which everybdoy seems to confuse with EVERY SINGLE islam who walks the face of this earth) are going to get wind because of our stupid media.

As for your statement about other religions not getting angry about somebody burning their religious literature. All i have to ask is this. Have you met a christain? If a christian caught wind of something like this happening with the bible there would be millions of people around the world up in arms, and if whoever was doing it did follow through then christains "going around blowing shit up because of it" would not be far off. Christains are crazier than Islams, the only reason Americans don't think so is because we're familiar with the religion of christianity and we see it in every day life.

This pastor is forgetting a very important rule of his teachings. "Love thy neighbour." Burning the Qu'ran is a disgusting act of hate. I am an atheist, through and through, but I at least understand the incredible offense that burning this book is. Anyone who condones this is the equivelant of neonazi - I'm certain this pastor believes that the Islams should die, as well - what with the lack of respect he is showing for them and their culture.

Although I understand people's frustration with radical Islam, the current tide of Islamophobia in the US seems over the top. Any organized religion can become dominated by radical conservative elements. In countries such as Iran and Iraq, that has unfortunately happened to Islam, as a result of historical factors such as Western imperialism/intervention. We're just lucky that Christianity has mellowed out, or we might still be living under some kind of Middle-Ages-esque theocracy. ;)

Exactly. Not all radicals are Islamists. Shall we guide you to the inquisition? 75-100 million people killed (approximately) in the Roman-Catholic inquisition.

He could burn the Twilight books instead! That would be a favour for the art of good literature.
Just kidding... don't ask him to burn me...
Now seriously, I think this is outrageous! Not only for attacking the religion of millions, but burning books of any kind is absolutely primitive. Just take a look at all the good examples through history...
It's like my grandma always says, everthing in excess is always bad, even religion.

Book burning? I strongly object to it.

No reason why books should be burnt just because of one incident. Just think of all the knowledge that has been lost in the past due to this.
