Korean Pop is also called Gayo or Kayo Music and it's part of the South Korean culture that is slowly but surely spreading in the rest of the world. I dunno what makes it so addictive, I haven't heard or listened to any of it :lol:
Don't really know much about korean pop, but what I do know is that I love the wondergirls =D Catchy music and pretty girls will do it for me!
It doesn't seem to be that popular with the outside of Asia. Although, one of my (non-Asian) hall mates is completely obsessed with everything Korean. She even flew to Los Angeles from the East Coast a few weekends ago just to attend some kind of Korea pop concert!
I have never heard of Korean Pop. However, I am sure it also matters where you are in the world to be exposed to it
SMTown i totally would have wanted to go....if i had been in LA at the time = = my friend went though as for the appeal of korean music....meh most of it is due to the singers' looks (like SNSD >.>) buttt there are some who can actually sing (boa, younha, etc)
The singers' looks??? But judging from the multitude of K-pop posters in my friends room, the male singers look a little too feminine to be considered attractive! XD
