Yeah. And as for the effects, some of them were cool. But like in the beginning when Katara splashes Sokka off screen he doesn't even get wet...lame.
Does anyone know if the movie is doing well enough that there will actually be another movie? It was actually pretty packed when I went but idk.
I'd imagine it has enough fan base as a kids movie that they'll be another one. They probably already committed to a second when they released the first.
It's true. I went to see it and within 2 minutes of the movie starting I was pissed off then for the rest of the time I was just bored and laughing at how horrible it was. The guy sitting next to me was so angry at how horrible the adaptation was compared to the series that every time they mispronounced Aang's name, he would shout it the right way really loudly. I had to try really hard not to laugh. For some reason they mispronounced a lot of words important in the series. Aang was pronounced "Ong," avatar was pronounced "ovatar," Sokka was pronounced "So-kah." I had to cringe every time there was dialogue because of this. I would say don't go. M. Night completely ruined his shot at having a come back. He could've made it a really good movie but tried to make it all serious and depressing but the dialogue was so shitty and the acting was crap. And he pissed all of the fans of the cartoon off by ruining important characters and parts of the story.
I have to say that I'm really ticked with this movie. The pronunciations got slaughtered, but more than anything, I'm pissed about: 1. Iroh's dreads. 2. Zhao's lack of massive sideburns.
Haha, overall it was a bad movie... I'm gonna go see the next book if they make another one... But if that isn't 75% better, I'm not going to see the last two, it would be a big waste..
Was there? I thought the beginning was the air book, and then it went into the water book... If im wrong, my bad.
they wont make a second movie, this will be ranked as one of the worst movies of all time it was definitely the worst movie ive ever seen anybody who likes it, you're insane, sorry.
Completely agree! I feel dissapointed after first 10 minutes, but I keep watching, hoping it would be better.. But no. It's not. Cartoon version is very very very much better than the movie Dx
This was such a bad movie. It was a low budget Nickelodeon childrens film. When I saw the trailers I had expected something along the lines of a really big movie production ya know? but I guess not. Maybe they just didn't have much to work with. The special effects were cool though, I'll give them that.
I was like Aemira, I just got really angry! The pronunciation was TERRIBLE and I don't even get what the point of that was!! I mean, I guess all the other things they changed might be related to production costs or limitations or whatever but how hard is it to say the names right?! Gr. Like everyone said, it was just kind of a poorly-made, poorly-acted movie, and it's unfortunate that it had to ruin an awesome show like that. When I heard about this movie coming out, I was excited cause it would extend the life of the show even though it was over. Unfortunately, I definitely will not be seeing the sequels, except to throw popcorn and warn people to not waste their money
Was a shoddy low-budget movie at best. Pronunciation was amaeturish at best. Pretty Disappointing overall.
Saw the trailer. And based on what people have said so far, I'm def not going to watch this. Actually when I first heard about this, I knew it was going to be a total fail.
*cough* *hack* That movie is just a waste of money and time. I wonder what the producers and filmmakers think of all their work turning out to be such a big FAIL!!!
Disapointed at the movie, the cartoon is way better. Hopefully, they will do better. I believe there is a sequel to this.
The minute they pronounced Sokka's and Aang's names wrong I hated the movie. In my mind I was correcting them every single time they said it wrong. Hopefully the management for this production will take the reviews into consideration if they decide to make a sequel.
