I've actually followed this show from the start and after the first two seasons, I felt like the show started to go downhill. But after watching the new season, I'm having a lot more faith in the show. Moving = Great because I hated the whole drug lord/king of mexico thing they were doing last season. The season premiere had quick witty dialogue; the kind of smart writing that made me start watching the show. Anyone else think that Silas is the only sane one now? (Andy is kindaaa)
I agree that moving was the best idea. Last season was lacking for me, and I'm just so glad they decided to shake it up a bit this season. I feel bad for Silas feeling obligated to join those crazy people when he should have just stayed behind and gotten his life together. I think by the end of the season he is going to hate Nancy, who is quickly becoming my least favorite character.
Hahah true. I've actually never really loved Doug or anything but looks like he'll be staying for the long-run. Especially after last night's episode. It seems like he's going with the Botwins wherever they end up staying. But FINALLY, the whole Esteban arc was put to an end. Glad we're finally moving away from that.
I hated the Esteban episodes too! I'm actually losing interest a bit, hopefully this new 'on the run' plot will bring it back for me.
It doesn't seem as clever as previous seasons. The writing is still great, but the plot doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
I'm not actually like the whole running thing. I'd rather they settle back down and they introduce some new characters from the dealing business.
I would like to see Nancy do something selfless to redeem herself. Also, am I the only person that thinks the baby would be better off with Esteban?
To an extent. The only reason Nancy is messing up so badly is because of Esteban though. So yea, the baby would be better off but only because of him in the first place.
I like the baby with her, so in my opinion, It doesn't matter if it would be better off with Esteban. For my interest, I would prefer it stick with Nancy. Adds something new to the mix and gives Shane something normal to do.
I think you should just take a trial period and rent the first season. If you like the first, you'll like the second. If you end up going all the way through the second season, you'll be addicted by then.
Poor, poor Silas. Oh I hope he just stays behind when Nancy runs off again. He would be so much better off.
Sigh, The last episode was pretty solid. But overall the whole season was not that great... I think they tried to hard to develop individual characters.
