Please dont double post, there is an edit button to edit your own posts. To answer your question, you can contact Microsoft and they will send you a new Xbox for free (you might need to pay shipping) but the downside is it takes a very long time. This happened to my friend and he waited 4 months for them to send him a new one. Their customer service is terrible but you have to deal with it.
even if it has ran out of warranty? I have had it around 3 years only thought that applied if i bought it 12months ago. Correct me if I'm wrong
Sometimes when i turn it on there is 3 rings , and other times i can play it for 15mins then i get the 3 rings Hope this helps
This happened to my brother, what happened to him was that the heat pads that dissipates the heat stop working correctly (cause MS is cheap like that) he tried to put some silicone heat stuff he got from radioshack, it helped a bit but in the end he had to buy a new xbox (he was 13 when he did this btw)
I really don't want this to happen to me D: happened to quite a few of my friends and i'm not sure how to prevent it :/ But yeah they all send off for new ones but im pretty sure they had valid warranty? could be wrong though.
