Oh no no no, Other shows have a normal break.. Usually December/January/(maybe) February just to give their cast some time off. Glee's break was EXTRA long. Months and months -- that was because of American Idol.

sorry mods if this is off-topic but this break thing have been on my mind for quite long :)

-- but Glee is on CW network and American idol is not on the CW network right? then why couldn't they show Glee on CW and American Idol on

other shows have a break nearing the half-way mark of a season, usually near july/august and the new season for shows starts in September. some examples are
Greys Anatomy - Starting in 2weeks time (if i ain't wrong)
Vampire Dairies - Started this week
Supernatural - Starting in 2weeks time

and they typically ends around the time that Kangeroos mentioned -- Dec to Jan/Feb

Erm.. Glee and American Idol are both owned by Fox in the United States. Which is why Glee had that break. Maybe Glee is broadcasted on another network in Singapore which is why you're confused :p And our half-way mark is usually Dec/Jan/Feb. It seems like everything is opposite with you guys. Our show seasons premier around September... Are broadcasted until December... Break until Jan/Feb... and usually wrap up in April/May. Those are fall seasons. We also have a summer series which broadcast from May/June until August/September.

To be relevant to the thread... Here are some links/promos/pics.

Kangaroos is absolutely correct. Glee is owned and produced by Fox corporation. It may reair on one of the daughter networks, but it is first run on Fox.

Also, I love Lea Michelle's new hair cut. Looks great :)

I personally dont like it at all, but when i saw the cover of katy perry's teenage dream i immediately went online to watch that episode! that new kid was great, in fact better than the old boring cast! glee should definitely get more actors like that new kid on the show!

The plot of the series is not very strong though, it's just full of high school stereotypes and the series probably revolves around the different stereotypes that exist in a normal high school!
