Arthritis' guide on how to decrease your chances of getting frozen!
Index.
(Press Ctrl - F, and type in the text in the to skip directly to that section. )

i. Avatars
ii. Trophies / Cheating on games / Using APers
iii. User look-up
iv. Pet
v.Using other cheats. e.g. Autobuying / MoneyTreeGrabbing

Avatars [IMG] [IMG]

These little boxes may deceive you into thinking "Whatever can these square pictures do to me?" My answer to this, as would it be to all the main points listed in this guide, is by itself, it does nothing, to convince TNT that you're a hardcore, avid, and most importantly, legit player of Neopets for the past 14 years of your life, but when you take such measures into making your account seem legit, it really decreases the chances of them freezing you.

More on the topic of such avatars, it really enhances your userlookup, and instead of seeing

[IMG] as an avatar on your userlook up, TNT, can instead be facing,[IMG] .

This's a simple way to look legit, as there're almost 100 clickable avatars to be obtained, increasing your secret avatar count along the way. You're able to use the neograbber program, available for premium users, to get these avatars.

http://www.neopets.com/petlookup.phtml?pet=Danger

Trophies [IMG]

The concept of Trophies is simple. They add a certain sense of reliability into your account, which can almost be translated into a legit account, one where someone has put in a lot of effort in excelling in various areas of Neopets, like Submitting an article to the Neopian Times (i), beating the seemingly difficult to defeat Punchbag bob(ii), getting top scores in games (iii), winning in a tournament (iv), lucky streaks trophies (v), trophies for playing Defender of Neopia (vi), and so on.

(i)[IMG](ii)[IMG](iii)[IMG](iv)[IMG](v)[IMG](vi)[IMG]

Trophies are considerably harder to attain, when compared to avatars. Playing games and winning trophies, requires you to pass a review score check, by TNT. Of course, premium always has the option of using a score sender, but while doing so, please note

1) Whatever you do, please send in a humane score, and a humane wait time. This is not to let others, who play legitly, have a chance at getting the trophy, but it'll really attract TNT's attention, when you send in a score that's 200% of the highest score ever attained, in 5 seconds.
2) Please wait a few days, if you're gunning for a trophy with the score sender. This really helps, as as far as I know, no person is that skilled, to be able to break all the high scores for 20 games.

Other trophies, require time, like the time to script the article that you send, time to complete the plot trophies (and I've heard that even mediocre articles can get in!)

Pet [IMG]

To remain freeze free, all of you, need to obtain a Grey Painted Jubjub.

Nahh, just kidding The pet portion is relatively simple. Just a simple point to note when creating a pet, and you're planning to cheat on that account.

1) never name your pet akhjnkaef_4287_asdfn. Firstly, it's against Neopets T&C. (don't ask me why, i've got frozen for it before) Secondly, it'll really stick out like a sore thumb, and we don't want that, do we

The pets don't have to be painted, and we don't have to train them until their level is too high to be counted, before we can start cheating. Just make sure it has a sensible name, and if you want, a cheap petpet attached to it. If you're really a worrywart, just play around with the stats of the pet, before creating it.

Using other cheats
I'll be focusing and giving tips on two cheats that are more commonly used in this section, mainly, MTGing (money tree grabbing), and ABing (autobuying)

Never ever run the MTG/AB for too long, i.e. 17 hours at one shot. The basic rule whenever using a program, is always. be. humane. If the statistics are humane, TNT will be less likely to turn their attention to your activities. This includes the overall duration spent cheating, the refresh timings being at 500ms. Most people may say "But I get RSBanned, so it's okay." Contrary to popular belief, RS bans DO play a part in TNT being suspicious. So if you really want to decrease your chances of being frozen by TNT, I'd strongly suggest, that you put a timer to it, to make it stop at a designated time.
Don't have a timer? Don't worry, Arthritis can save you.

1) Start > Run > enter "cmd" without the " "s.

2) a black box should open up. Congratulations!

3) type in "shutdown -s -t ^s" without the " "s yet again. ^, is the period of time, in seconds that you'd like your computer to stay active for. So for example, if you'd want your computer to shut down after 2 hours, the calculations would be as follows.

2 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds = 7200 seconds.

You'd then key in, "shutdown -s -t 7200", without the " "s. A message box should then pop up, starting a countdown timer, until your PC will shut down automatically.

owell. this marks the end of my first ever guide. C&C would be much appreciated, in addition to what else could be added in order to improve this!

Nice guide, only one comment: (well twoish)
About getting game trophies: these can be obtained with game autoers, so they don''t always make you look legit.
Play CHEAT, the card game. It's impossible to auto it, so having a trophy make syou look SUPER legit, because it takes TIME.

another thing i dont think you mentioned aside from trophies is game scores :) if you spend 40 mins to an hour or so going through and wracking up the amount of games you have played then i reletively sure that will help.

Of course that applies to autobuyer accounts because people using the flash game autoers will probably already have a rather high amount of games played :p

I am sooo afraid of using the auto buyers & getting my 3 year old account frozen... I love my Neopets... *sniff*

Do I really have to create a side account and move the NP with small items in my shop? Won't they know track my IP address or will it be different on different computers hooked up to the same router?

Right now I use a program called Check for Change, just an add-on for Mozilla. It automatically refreshes the page if a certain block of text or selected image has changed and brings it to the front. I use it about 3 times every hour at a 30 second refresh rate on the Igloo. I've been told about 5x now that I can't get any more items for the day? Does that make NP suspicious?

If you have never ABed before, I would reccomend creating a new account on a fresh IP and starting out in Pharmacy or Toy to get the hang of it. The thing that makes successful ABers successful is mastering the refresh rates and wait times. Greed is also a major factor in success.

Thanks Belaarx. :) I'm still a little nervous though. I might just stick to my mostly legit Igloo restocking for now & game playing. I've racked up over 600,000 NP in the past month or so just doing that.

I've been using an Add On for Firefox called Check for Change. I just select the text that says there are no items available & have it automatically refresh the page every 30 seconds with a 4 second variation both ways randomly and I don't do anything else on NP while it's checking. I also don't immediately reset it after getting an item & I think I'm maxing out on items because it usually eventually says I can't get anymore today.

NP shouldn't notice the Check for Change, right?

i have the time to be online for hours a day but don't have the reaction time to successfully rs or snipe, so i use the abers

ok a few tips i use to avoid getting frozen using an autobuyer

NEVER ab for more than an hour at a time
always be online to supervise the abing
if you rs an item worth over a mil, quit for the day
constantly change the refresh rates on the aber

for usershop ab:
refresh rates are key, change every 15 or so rfs
the usab has a number of refreshes it will do, then pauses. never make the number of refreshes the same

I have used usab a lot.
There should be any but little freeze rate out of using it.
So you can feel free sniping a lot with that :)
Most of the time TNT will only SW ban you & with no additional penalty.
Just be extra-careful about the refresh rates,
you have to change them occassionally(personally i set 3 to 5 sec)

nice guide, thanks. even though i don't understand why there is freezing possibility by money tree grabber, because you really don't get that much of np from it. it could be all luck?
