I can't imagine this movie being good at all. I mean, all books turned into movies fall short of expectations, especially Harry Potter.
After I watched Harry Potter, I felt like crying. It was the worst waste of $8.75 and 3 hours of my life.

I saw previews of it, it looks pretty good. I've never read the books before. What genre is it?

The books are amazing but the movie is going to kill it for me. The thing about fantasy is you get to input a lot of your own imagination. So if I see the movie, I'll forever remember what the characters look like in the movie and forget what I had imagined. :?

I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting...

You know, I love comparing books to their movies. When I found out Lord of the Rings was going to be movies I quick read the books.

LoTR books were hideous at best. So much of the books were spent on some trivial stuff, like descriptions. That shows the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" to be true.

That's too bad you didn't like them. I did try reading them when I was younger, but couldn't get into them. It was hard to figure out how to pronounce some of the names and places though.

I recently tried to see the movie (Saw the beginning but had to leave because the movie theatre "lied" about it being open captioned) and it was... so different from the book. :(

I'm going to see it tomorrow afternoon after hearing my friend talk about how hilariously bad it was. :) And since a friend of mine works at the theater, (and I'll get in free plus free food) it won't be a waste of money. Heckyes.
