tl;dr - Is China a power to be FEARED or to be WELCOMED?

Let's look at a few things:
    1. China is a HUGE world power
    2. China has a bucket load of people
    3. They have the largest export, by mass, in the World
    4. They have almost no oil supplies on China's land masses
    5. They are expanding and buying their way into the economy of most countries
    6. China executes countless people per year, and tortures countless more
    7. China has banned Facebook, Twitter, and Google (?), as well as various other common Western sites
    8. China has nuclear weapons (but, hey, so does everyone!)
    9. I'm not even going to talk about Tibet, and China's occupation of it (you can Google 'Free Tibet' to find all you need to know)
    10. No one seems to regulate China's scandalous activity

So, back to my tl;dr question. Should we fear China? Or should we welcome it?

They have some of the cheapest labour available on Earth; almost everything manufactured on a large-scale basis comes from China. They are dominating the economy, and building up their GDP with completely random structures like COMPLETELY empty GIANT-scale malls, 42 KM bridges that will only stand for 5-10 years prior to being susceptible to corrosion and possible loss of structural integrity, and many other crazy things like this.

The fact is that China has been buying or bullying its way into practically every major oil field on Earth to rapidly extract everything they can to feed their unquenchable thirst for the oil. However, China's rapid extraction of one of Earth's most valuable resources is not enough for them and they, of course, have to buy oil by the tanker each and every day.

That, and only that, is what many experts believe is preventing China from taking over the world. Many believe that if oil was actually proven to be abiotic (as opposed to biotic), and hence in an infinite supply, then China would not rely on the Western powers - and would therefore be in the prime position for World domination.

Now, obviously, we believe the Fossil Fuel theory. And no one has proven that oil is abiotic (despite what the Russians might think). So, for the time being at least, this will keep China at bay.

    But what about the future?

Should we welcome China for the cheap labour and amazing contribution this makes to the World economy?

    Or should we fear China?

In an ideal World, China would succumb to democracy like the rest of the modern World has (as opposed to their transmogrified concept of the Communist ideals, that is so far from what it is meant to be it isn't funny). Alas, that will probably not happen for a long time.

    What do you guys think?

Well s*#!... They will come for that oil one day, that is just the nature of humans really. Hopefully that is far into the future and i am long dead lol.

As far as welcome or fear? I dont know.. Caution has to be used, too much power will be abused.

Regardless i believe one day... Sh.. Will hit the fan.

China has too many people for their own good and are still lagging behind in terms of development. All their corporations are copy cats of western innovation.
