I think it would be a simpler form of life because of the harsh conditions on other planets

But then wouldn't that mean they had to be more intelligent forms of life because they have to survive in those conditions?

just try to imagine the vastness of the universe... ok, now tell me out of the millions of galaxies out there you're saying that something like us doesn't exist? fat chance... there's gotta be more intelligent life elsewhere

    there has to be.

given the size of the universe and the probability of planets forming to sustain life i vote yes.

however, it may be (slightly) that the conditions on earth were a fluke.

who knows if we'll ever meet "aliens" because by the time another species has evolved elsewhere to "inteligence" such as ours, we may be long gone.

so yeah, all in all i believe in aliens, but doubt we will EVER meet them

There has to be. The universe is so big that it's guaranteed there is some life whether intelligent or not. And I believe roswell really happened :D

i actually think that there are probably forms of life that are much more intelligent than we are... i mean here is the earth, getting polluted and having global warming and everyone is overweight... you call that intelligent? there must be intelligent life out there, as intelligent as humans... if not more.

I like the idea of Aliens. It puts pressure off of humans being the one and only 'intelligent' if you get what I mean race lol xDD

Not really... seeing there are billions of different galaxies. I would think there is some planet with good conditions for life like our Earth.

Yes same goes for the other way maybe the more intelligent lifeforms died off before they reached enough technology to reach out to us. Maybe other lifeforms have already met each other but we are too far off. Hmm who really knows... Will we ever be advanced enough to reach out to other galaxies? In my opinion, Not in our life time.

defineatly, we live in one galaxy, there r thousands of galaxies out there and if there were the right conditions for us to survive there have to be places just like this

Well actually its not really a fluke. All you really need to start life is a lot of heat, and gases that contain the 9 elements of life (main C,H and O...maybe N and P). Oh that and a HUGE span of time.

Any kind of life forms would sure exist. The universe is so very very big. And i am sure there would be at least a few planet like ours in a certain system in one of the galaxies(maybe even milkyway) which have a good condition to harvest life forms.

I dislike when people take size of the universe into consideration when trying to think whether or not there realy are aliens. Personaly, I doubt that there are any attempting to "converse with us". Because, if there were you would expect someone to have been able to prove it in the millions of years humans have been alive. Anyone who answered this poll made a mistake. You should not guess things without evidence.

yeah and how long have humans been able to travel into space? like 40 years... also not to mention the freaking vastness of the damn universe!!! some neighboring galaxies are millions of light years away, just to give you an idea a light year is roughly 5.88 trillion miles, that's only one... so no... no we wouldn't have been able to prove it, and probably never will.... chances are we wouldn't even get one light year in a million years

excuse me? don't put the human race down... fact is, compared to almost every other species in the world humans are alpha. not intelligent? do you think animals contemplate the possibility of other life? no... humans may sometimes be irrational and petty, but even the dumbest human beats an animal

Anonymous you missed my point, so I will make it clearer. I said there were probably none trying to CONVERSE (meaning interact) with us. Because if there were aliens coming to our planet, don't you think it would have been proven by now? I never said there were, or were not aliens in general, because that claim would require substancial evidence that none of us currently have. And about humans being more intelligent than other creatures, that is because we have a larger brain than most plain and simple.
