So I finally got around to watching Deathnote. Thought I would hate it but I was very wrong. Can anyone recommend any others to try? I tried bleach though found the animation itself to be a little "childish" I use the term childish lightly. Ive watched all the obvious films. Akira, Princess Mon, Spirited away, howls moving castle, kikis del etc. I may just need to give Bleach a bit of time to get into it, what do you think? Recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Blood +, Claymore and Black Butler are some of my other fav's! I enjoyed Vampire knight. Bleach is hard to get into but is seriously good after a few episodes. Ugggh I have tons of anime XD i'm looking at my $4000 dollar collection right now trying to pic the best XD

Bleach isn't really that childish when you get more into it. The plot that's going on right now is pretty good. I'm currently reading Bleach and Naruto. I also watched Spirited Away and Kiki's Delivery, and Princess Monake (misspelled?). In my opinion I think they are more childish than Bleach.. but maybe that's just me.
Besides the mainstream ones like bleach and naruto, I would suggest an anime called Gurren Lagann. it only has 25 episodes but its the best anime I've watched so far.
I Love TTGL (Gurren Lagann)! I highly recomend that. (very uplifting) guess it depends on what you like as to what you are going to find interesting As far as Maturity and Artistic style go I suggest Death Frenzy (Shigurui)... fantastic story, and the anime isn't long... but also doesn't finish properly.. If you kinda like twisted and leaves you feeling like... "what the heck?"... then I recomend - Neon genesis Evangelion, Berserk, or Elfen lied Could aslo try Deadman's Wonderland or Code Geass. And if you just want some fun, with a kinda cool art style Soul Eater, or Katanagatari

You should definitely watch "Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood". Also if you liked Death Note you will probably love Code Geass.

I didn't like Bleach ether. I watched about 80 episodes, waiting for smt original to happen and I was disappointed. Then again maybe I'm too much of a girl =P I would recommend: Inuyasha Blood+ Air Spiral Full Metal Panic Kiddy Grade (If you can find them) Kure-Nai Rozen Maiden Ghost Stories
Hellsing Ultimate is great. Tiger & Bunny is amazing, it's about western-style superheroes. Code Geass is good, too.
Gintama if you wan funny animes - random - parody - funny - To aru railgun if you want some fighting scenes yet cute , fantasy-school life - loli maybe? Steins;Gate -about travelling thru past/future , quite funny , got banana LLOL
Look-up a show called Yu-Yu Hakusho I found it to be a pretty good show, and also Ken-shin that is a another good anime.
If you like videogames try Sword Art Online, or if you want something different take a look to Shingeki no Kyojin (This one has a good story)
