Any other Magic players here? I was introduced to it towards the end of Avacyn Restored and I've been hooked ever since. I pretty much only play limited, with drafting being my favorite format, and I play both online and at game shops. I can't wait till Theros comes out! I love mythology...
I think of Magic as fantasy chess. Sometimes the game can get super complicated and there can be a myriad of plays you can make but you have to find the best play for every situation and it's really fun! There's also a really huge community with players all over the world and they have Pro Tours like 3 times a year. I know it's not for everybody, but I love the game and would recommend it to anyone that likes to think and enjoys great fantasy art. And of course it's a time-sink, just like any game.
I used to play, but it got a little out of hand with all of the new series'. I still have my sliver deck, though.
Nice! Yeah it can be pretty addicting... Speaking of slivers, they just brought them back in the latest core set!
Oh, I've never heard of that card, but it basically looks like a sorcery version of Searing Spear... Well, if you do get into it, it can suck your life away! But no, you should definitely check it out.
