I got a great one here. You'll know Tarla right? Well what if you had a program that would go to tarla when she was there. Now refreshing would be the kinda obvious way not to mention the easiest way to get iced so would it be possible to make a program that "saw" when the alert button flashes and then clicks it?
Hmm, well I could see this happening but I don't think it will; you could make it so you load the toolbar in the program, connect to the internet and then whenever it changes color on X coordinate of the toolbar (flashing) the program clicks on it and looks for a link to Talar's place. Hopefully someone could make this ^_^
Or you could just snoop the traffic the toolbar sends to neopets, and then write a program to do the same thing as the toolbar. That's much easier that trying to manipulate the toolbar.
that would be pretty cool, as i seem to always miss her , on the other hand most of the stuff is junk anyways.
They must have changed it she went from the 7th to the tenth w/o giveing a prize then on the tenth she gave out 2 prizes but you can only get one so...
Ok, I've written a tarla grabber program. I'll upload it as soon as I get upgraded to programmer. It does exactly what the toolbar does to display the alert, so the only thing they can tell is that you're lucky enough to always notice and grab the first alert of the day.
It gets the page the toolbar gets to determine if there's a current alert, at the same frequency the toolbar does. If there is one, It follows through with the same things that you would do by clicking on the alert button, then the link to the "get the item" page. So at a maximum of once a day, you get a free item. Note: Tarla's frequency is random, so there may be days that there are no alerts, so you don't always get anything. But this program will make sure that you get the most that's possible.
Yeah the program would be cool as at first I didn't know who Tarla was and I didn't know she gave out free stuff.
It works the same way the alert button does. It fetches a (very small) page from neopets and determines if it says there's an alert or not. It does not depend on the alert button/toolbar.
