Xbox 360. Costs far less , and there already a bunch of good games out for it at the moment. Wait a while for the PS3 launch to die down, find about its pros and cons first hand, then consider buying it once there are some games out that interest you.
basically, the 360's userfriendliness outdoes the ps3's power...at this point in time, the 360 takes the cake. True, the ps3 has INCREDIBLE power (it's like two years ahead of its time) but right now it's so wasted...there isnt a game on the market that requires that kind of power...if you compare any game on the ps3 and 360, they are identical...my suggestion would be to buy a 360 now and wait 6 months to a year befor gettin a ps3..in that time, the price on the ps3 will drop, they will HOPEFULLY have the kinks worked out of the online features (it sucks right now), and there will be ps3 only games that absolutely require the ps3's power...hope this helped! =)
I voted 360. I'm not planning on getting a PS3 anytime soon. I've heard too many bad things about them. I have the 360. It's pretty good.
i have both, GET THE 360!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS3 IS A WASTE OF MONEY. you will not even be able to tell a pixel of difference unless you have a plasma HDTV thats like 1249873" long.
lawl this could go on for ages, basically they both do the same thing but the stand alone games is what make people buy, for the 360 there is halo3, fable 2 GoW and more where as the ps3 there is kill zone and some others lol i dont know to may ps3 games, oh and if ur buyin the ps3 for the new grand theft auto dont bother microsoft got the rights to launch that game XD and if in doubt get the wii hope that helped a wee bit XD
getthe PS3 its got to be done i Have played the PS3 and the graphics are outstanding puts all other consoles to shame but thats my opinion.
If you're going to get one of the systems now, get the 360. Especially if you like online shooters. Even still there are plenty of other good games out for the 360. Don't buy a PS3 until around the end of this year (or beginning of next year), unless Devil May Cry 4 or Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out before then. As far as games, there are many excellent games coming out in the next few months. One of them is Crackdown, which is kinda like GTA San Andreas, only you are a cop and you get superpowers. If you reserve a copy of this you get a free Halo 3 Beta Testing. Crackdown comes out in February. It should keep you occupied until April, which is when so many good games come out. Among them are Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Brothers in Arms: Hell's highway, Army of Two, BioShock, Too Human, and a couple others. I would choose PS3 because I owned a PS2. Furthermore, Final Fantasy is the best game which only comes out in PS3, not Xbox 360. It's just like Xbox 360 trademark game is Halo. I love to play Halo but sadly, I don;t think I can afford 2 consoles at the a time like this right now...
xbox360 will be getting final fantasy there is all ready final fantasy online and they hope to buy some more licences.
Actually there are only a handful of Xbox games that are backwards compatible on the 360. There is a list of them on xbox.com plus you have to download a patch from Xbox live. Still, there are plenty of good games for it now and more on the way.
Get a PS3, if only for the Blu-Ray player. That alone is worth the price of the machine. Also, if the ps2 is any indication, it will have way better games than the 360.
