    Anyone understand surds at all?

    Im usually good at maths and the way my teacher explains it i fail to understand :K Any help or sites?

    I think a surd is the same thing as the square root, so in explantion, take a certain number known as X and X times X = Y, then the surd of y is equal to x.....I think thats right...

    well its just general surds, and splitting it up into 4(square root)5 etc.

    meh ill check some websites tonight. thanks anyway
