Most emo kids don't cut, and the ones that do show if off, which takes away all scene points, so they're not really emo, they just want attention, and they had no friends and emo kids are very nice with accepting new people in their group.
Well, this girl at my school deliberately cut herself to make herself look "cool." Hurting yourself is not cool, but I guess she didn't get the memo.
i think emo's are all trying to be non conforming but if they look at each other they are clones with the same hairstyle, glasses,makeup.

An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a vicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity, and it goes something like this: 1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie) 2. Guy finds out, so he listens to emo music and dresses like a dork so chicks will see that he is sensitive and not afraid to express himself (lie). He dyes his hair black, wraps himself in a stupid looking scarf, develops an eating disorder, and rants about how "nobody understands". 3. Now an emo guy, he meets Emo chick and they start dating, talking about how their well-off suburban lifestyles are terrible and depressing (lie) 4. Emo guy is just too much of a pussy. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team. 5. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues. This is the sad truth of the emo lifestyle/music, and now that I look at how pathetic it really is, maybe the emos DO have something to cry about! Most of real depressed people stay at home alone, listening their music (not MCR or something like those), and if they cry don't show it to others... Emo it's a strange phenomenon I think! It's evolved a lot also in Italy... so I can't imagine how is in the rest of Europe and in America! However... maybe it's a style chosen by whom want to retrieve somebody like him/her. But it's becoming a trend, nothing else.
I'm an emo kid nonconforming as can be you'd be nonconforming too if you were just like me Man I miss that song. Someone go on youtube and look up emo song that video is so hilariously stupid.
Settled I guess, the majority thinks emo is: "Someone Is Always Sad An Depressed/Emotional" thanks guys, after over 200 views, 30 replies, and a few days I now can proudly say "I know what emo is". things are getting brighter and brighter now
Emo people usually take part in self mutilation. The cut, stab or inject themselves. A stereotypical emo would were dark colours, dark make up and wallow about their deppressed lives.
Why do people think that? The emo kids I know are some of the goofiest/happiest kids I know... :roll:

Emo kids used to be emotional. But now that it's a trend the actually sad/depressed emo kid is pretty much obsolete now. It's less about being sad and more about the tight pants and eyeliner.
