Not necessarily. Humans KILLED most of our extinct animals. These animals would still be around if it werent for us barging in and shooting everything.
and even the animals that didn't die because humans directly killing them we probably started it, we probably killed off an insect that a bird eats then the bird dies and the whole ecosystem is messed. sometimes i wonder if the world would have been better without humans, global warming etc.
I don't think this is a yes/no thing. If they can figure out how to clone things such as fruits we can eat, and animals that would be safe for eating or that are close to or are endangered, or even cloning things such as fossil fuels, I think it would be good. But just cloning animals/things to clone them is dumb. And I'm WAY against cloning people, obviously.
I think the problem with cloning animals to eat is that you would have to eat them when they're very young. As animals get older there chromosomes get shorter in each cell, so when you clone a cell you get an exact copy so the chromosome is the same length. So when you have a pig that is a clone that was just born the cells of it will be the same age as the cells from the original pig, so if u take cells from a pig ready for harvesting then when you clone those cells the baby pig will need to be eaten before it's too old.
I realize that, and I was saying that I'd only approve if it was someway helping us...if they can't figure out a way for it to be safe, I wouldn't see a point in it.
