Burning is more painful, drowning is not painful. The minute your lungs can't take it anymore and all the oxygen is gone from in you, you just fall asleep. With burning the layers of your skin are burnt off and then it gets to your nerves and by that point you are wishing to die.

what a pleasant topic of discussion. but i agree, burning alive would be terribly painful. inhaling water would also be aweful but not as bad as standing there while your flesh melts.

Burning to death is more painful, and it probably takes longer, too.

The thought of drowning just freaks me out...but yeah, burning to death would hurt so much more.. it wouldn't last too long, but it would feel like forever..

it depends.. if the fire is a huge fierce fireball-thingy and the water is being poured slowly into your lungs (like what they used to torture soldiers) then drowning would be more painful. but in normal cases fire is still more painful. :p

Burning would hurt the worst. After 2-4 minutes of drowning, you'd just go to sleep. Burning could probably take up to 10 minutes I'm guessing.

Depends on a lot of things, like the heat of the fire, and the temperature of the water. The hotter the fire, the quicker you die, and the colder the water temperature, the less you'd feel. Still, I'd say burning alive would probably hurt the most, as well as take the most amount of time to kill.

LOL...like being burnt in the direct epicenter of a nuclear blast? Though I dont think being drowned in cold water affects your feelings of pain from death. Its not so much of a "pain" which would be slowed down from the low temperature, its more of a psychological thing. Drowning is just like holding your breath, you eventually pass out, and theres very little pain involved. Its all in your head. Being burned alive involves actual pain as your nerves are bombarding your brain with messages of it being hurt.

OHH and to add, I think the worst death would be from having a drop of water slowing drip on your forhead right between your eyes for a month straight (with people feeding you and giving you water of course). You'll be so crazy by the end of it that you'll wish you were dead....you know you have it dead when you think death is better than living lol.

I agree with the majority of you in that burning would be unbearably horrible, however I also think that drowning holds it's own sort of horridity (if that's a word, which I don't think it is...)
