So I recently got a 12-cell battery for my laptop (hp g60 120us). It is AMAZING. My old 6-cell, which was all worn out, literally got 5 minutes to the charge (hahahahaha), but new it got about 2 hours, which was horrible. With this twelve cell, I am pretty easily getting 6 hours. So I recommend 12-cell batterys to everyone
nice! but what kinda prices are we looking at for a new battery? I wouldn't mind a new charge, but I don't wanna be spending too much
damn, i'm gonna purchase one on ebay right now. my battery dies fast, probably after 2-3 hours of usage. thanks man
All batteries are pretty expensive, but if you look for the right prices, you can find 12-cell batteries for the same prices as 6-cells online. I got mine for $50, which was as cheap as the 6-cell batteries I was looking at
You can't really compare the two batteries since your 6-cell probably has a good amount of wear on it
Also depends on the laptop, what you're doing on it, etc. 12 cells definitely last longer; I have a 12 cell Only thing I don't like is the hump that it makes, sticking out the bottom. But provides a nice stand when on a desk I guess.
haha I thought the same exact thing that the hump bothered me. Then I realized that is was nice because it was angled and let me type easier, and it allowed more air out from the fan. haha
Thinking about adding a second hard drive to my laptop. It has a second slot and everything, and that would put me close to 1T of space. I think a replacement battery would follow shortly thereafter
