Hey, this is wayne1210. i would like to appeal to the the neofriends staff's decision to ban my account. The giveaways made today weren't spam. If you looked at the thread I made for it, I even took my time and compile a list of all the winners and posted it on the board and was ready to give out the neopoints to the winners.
Alright, why did you run so many giveaways? It's called a DAILY giveaway because idealy, it's run ONCE a day. You could have easily just run 1 giveaway with the same nps. And what confuses me is that you don't actually earn points in the giveaway forum. We'll see.
Exactly, I was doing it completely out of generosity. The reason I wanna run many was so many people can win, it was an experiment in which i want to test how many people would actually claim it. When I found out people dont get private messaged for winning, I compiled a list of winners, I was even willing to give out multiple 10ks to the winners who won more than once.
the point is that you flooded the giveaway, extremely. you had over 100 requests, it seemed like a bot. ill give you till you answer this message with something clever but youve got 1 day till i reban you
First thing to say regarding the flooding was that I was not aware we could not host more than 1 daily giveaway per day. It was neither written in the rules nor did anyone say so and I thought it would be a really generous thing to do. It seems really unfair to me that I would get permanent banned for what I thought would be a nice thing to do. If it makes any difference, I actually did not use a bot. All I had to do was the press "backspace" and click on "submit" again to create a new one. What probably demonstrates my innocence the most was that I went through each any everyone of the giveaways i created and compiled a list of all the winners and arranged them in alphabetical order. I also stated that I am willing to give multiple 10k to the numerous people who won multiple times. But the point is, I don't believe there would be a bot for compiling the names of all the winners. I actually went through the time consuming task so no one else has to do it in order to check if they have won.
Yes I read that, but I didn't know it's actually against the rules if I want to purposefully want to give out a lot of giveaways. Can I please have a second chance? I absolutely didn't have any bad intentions at all...
That's as clear as a rule can get. When an admin (a mod too, for that case) says something, guess what? HE'S NOT JOKING. So when expon says not to run more than one giveaway in a day, follow it. Regardless of your intention, you created alot of hassle and trouble for the mods who had to remove the invalid giveaway awards and for the users who won the giveaways. That being said, I do think banning's a little harsh just for the giveaways. If it were up to me, I'd unban and dock some cash points at most, especially if there's been gravedigging/spam/etc. in the past. However, I think he's also spammed and gravedug quite a big, no? And also, you can stop posting on this account. It's not like the cash points are going to transfer, and youre not going to gain access to any programs.
This is my only account right now, the last time I tried, wayne1210 was still banned. I actually grave-dug only twice, and that was my first time on the board, before I knew I had to look at the date before I post. I havent done it again, nor have I spam. And the admin can take away all my cash points, I just want to be unbanned.
http://www.neofriends.net/memberlist.php?mode=banned Triple posting? After THREE warnings? You're not as victimized as you''re trying to make yourself out to be. And you should have read the rules.
Please let me explain before accusing me. The thread I "triple posted" was one in which a post has to be approved by a mod first. The thread was the "game scores review list" in the neopets guide section. I was merely trying to update a new score so I did. However, I did not realize the post has to be approved first so when I check back and didn't see my post up there, I thought I didn't post it yet due to some browser problem or whatever. So I simply posted it again, and the second time was when I realized I didn't see my first one because it hasn't been approved yet. So I posted it the third time merely to apologize for my mistake. Now, I really shouldn't have gotten a warning for that at all because none of my posts in that thread ever showed up in public because they all had to be approved by a mod first. It was basically the same as sending three messages to a mod, NOT posting three spams. And no, this "triple posting" was the third warning, so it's actually after the SECOND warning. And my "first" and "second" warning really was actually just one since they were both the same mistake I committed in one sitting, so basically, I got two warnings at once for the same mistake. And please, to all the mods, I know I made a mistake and caused a lot of trouble. It sincerely was an honest mistake so please unban me.
