I've only used AU recently, and I'd only ever used one other ABer previously, so my understanding of these things is limited. It seems to me though that it should be impossible to surf the neopets website and use an ABer at the same time on the same account, because you can't be logged into the site twice. Am I right or wrong about this?
^ Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you use the 'Import Cookies from Firefox' option when logging into AU, I think you can be logged in on Firefox, log into AU, then continue browsing in Firefox? I've never tried this because I don't use this option, so correct me if I'm wrong!
It certainly sounds like it, but I don't know either. I never tried to use the option or even thought twice about it. I'm anxiously awaiting the answer on this.
you can sign on from 2 different location via the import cookies feature, HOWEVER you cant browse the website and AB at the same time. When you pause the AB then you may surf the Neopets site. Never do so simultaneously or you will be frozen quickly.
So [and this is the reason I asked this question], if this is true, there are a few possibilities: 1) Someone who surfed neopets while AU was running would end up betraying themselves by doing two completely separate things simultaneously. Restocking while checking auctions or whatever. They'd get frozen. 2) Someone who used this import cookie feature but made sure to pause AU while using the site would appear more like, 40 straight minutes of restocking, five or ten minutes or doing this or that, 35 more minutes of restocking, and so on. But someone who was manually restocking and NOT doing it hardcore for 45 minutes or more straight but jumping around, doing this or that, checking board messages, viewing other pages in between their shop refreshes, doing dailies, et cetera, would obviously not be ABing because unlike #1 above, there would be no simultaneous occurences and #2 above would have to pause and restart AU again and again and again, which people don't do because it would be annoying and make AU a lot less effective. Is this a correct or incorrect assumption?
AHHH now I see what you are trying to say, I think what you are looking for is a spiderer? AU has one built into it. It will visit random pages every so often or whenever you set the spiderer to refresh.
No, he means that if you want to go on your account, you should pause AU. Browsing on your account while running AU calls for a ban.
Actually, what I mean is that I have a main legit account that I'd like to manually restock on sometimes just for kicks & I've been getting much better at it lately. But not knowing what TNT's criteria is for freezing people or suspecting them of ABing, I'm worried that I might get frozen anyway evem if I'm playing it perfectly legit. So the real heart of the matter here was trying to figure out if I'm restocking and doing other things on the site that aren't overlapping but are so closely timed together that it would be highly impractical with AU running, will it be obvious that I'm not ABing and can I have peace of mind... but even as I'm writing this, I know the answer is no. Because I've gotten the message about being frozen before. They give no clear details about what their accusations are so you have no way of defending yourself against them, and they could still choose to ignore any "proof" I might offer, so there's no point in bending over backwards so far to have the proof in the first place. Thanks for all the help though, everyone.
