I've decided to attempt to make myself some avvie/siggy combos using GIMP. I don't have many fonts, I use Ubuntu Linux and I haven't found a way to add new fonts... I'm not quite sure how it's going, but I like most of them :funky: I'd love your opinions. I'm trying to create something relatively unique, but not too weird. Sailing Ship: Spoiler Avvie: Siggy: Abstracty: Spoiler Avvie: Siggy: Sad-Like Lady: Spoiler Avvie: Siggy: Pirate-ish Guy: Spoiler Avvie: Siggy 1: Siggy 2: Words: Spoiler For this one, I couldn't decide on what I wanted in the siggy... Sigs looking nice The white "shine" on the avatars can be of a lighter opacity though ^^" Other than that, they're nice!
I like the simplicity of the first signature, though on the Abstract one especially, I think the scanlines are wayyy too strong. Also, I think it would maybe look nicer with the text outlined. Other than that, they're quite nice
Thanks everyone for the wonderful advice :funky: I've also been playing around some more, and I made myself a few more stuffs Forlorn Girl: Spoiler Avvie: Siggy 1: Siggy 2: Girl with Ribbon: Spoiler Avvie: Siggy:
Hmm on the Forlorn girl, I don't like the font. But I know you can't really change that. I think you should try the make the borders a bit smoother, like in the sailing ship or the sad-like lady. I do really like the girl herself, though I'm not sure if you made that yourself, lol. And on the second one I can't quite say what it is, but it looks really .. strong. A bit too strong. Sorry, don't know how to put it. I like the first one in your first post most, actually.
Thanks for the suggestions, Milanos ^_^ Pretty much everyone likes the first set I ever made... You'd think I get better the more I do... and no, I didn't make any of the images myself, I got them from various render sites. I'm not that good EDIT: I messed with the images a bit. Here's what I got: Spoiler Lol I wanted to re-do this one, to soften the edges and get rid of scan lines. I edited this one twice, because I didn't like it the first time. I didn't bother editing the Forlorn Girl ones, I don't much like those.
Great work! I think the second "Pirate ish guy" came out better than the first. I really like that brown color.
