Haha... I was never a big fan the original... the movie did my head in. However the new one I kinda want to see - I don't know why though. Looks creepy, but Johnny Depp does make a good character in any movie. Might be one I watch on DVD/Computer. I don't think it will be a Cinema job.
I think all of Tim Burton's films look creepy. But I love them so that doesn't stop much. I mean it's a disney studios film so, it shouldn't be disturbing, just brightly colorful with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and creepy smiles (much like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I know I'm leaving out some other movies...). I have been anticipating this movie for about a year and I am happy to see it come into fruition. Perhaps the biggest reason I am excited for this film is because of Alan Rickman though. I'm a big fan. <3
Haha yeah, you all bring up a good point, creepy is both Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's style. It really wouldn't be right for the movie to not be a little bit out there
It's Johnny Depp. He's wonderful. But half his movies are weird. (Edward Scissorhands anyone?) But all the movies he takes part in are bound to be weird yet amazing That's why I really want to watch it!! Definitely not guna miss this one.
Im pretty sure that like, every drug dealer out there is going to retire on this movie. Just saying. Im pretty sure there wont be any mushrooms left in my city. I mean, not that I have personal experience. I, erm, read it somewhere. :back:
I'm def gonna watch it. It's Tim Burton and Johnny Depp! I also really like Anne Hathaway as well. <3 I'm a big fan of Alice in Wonderland, so I have high expectations for this movie.
Creepy but good. The mad hatter (Johnny) and the red queen (Helena Bonham Carter) will be awesome. The no name who is playing Alice probably won't be able to stand up to them. I made my boyfriend promise to go see it with me when I found out about it ages ago. I'm looking foward to it, he's not.
Well the Washington Post which publishes a free commuter paper with just headlines basically has a review of it inside and they like it a lot. They say that Tim Burton and Lewis Carroll are a perfect matchup, and the newcomer (Alice) is spectacular. The colors and costumes are wonderful and they encourage you to see it in IMAX 3-D. So I trust the WaPo. js
Dunno whether or not I'll see it in 3D. After my experience with watching Avatar in 3D I'm not really into trying it out again. Maybe I'll just watch it in iMax. 8D
My sister is working for the Mouse and gets to preview all of their movies. She says its good. Here's the thing about it being creepy: Tim Burton is directing Johnny Depp, in a live action adaptation of what many people consider their trippiest cartoon to date. Creepy is a must for this film.
Oh my gosh. I can't wait to watch this movie ! XDD ! I'm probably going to go with my friends. I didn't go with my sister cos I had tutor that night. Dissapointing. D8 But still, I really want to watch it. I mean, I saw all the posters months ago and I was like 'WOAHHHHHHHHHH *____*', so yes. :3
Ahah, really? So.. did it have anything spectacular about it? In that sense, I mean like graphics, story plot..? xD Or simply acting? 8D - Wants spoilers - >;3
