Altador Plot HELP!!

Hey guys. I know this is a couple years old, but I'm kinda picking up where I left off on this. I got my coords and I'm at the room where my spellbook is supposed to be, but I'm clicking like crazy and I can't find the fricking book!! My boyfriend is a programmer and he said that, by looking at the source for the page, there was no external link for the image for my room. Translation: in his mind I'm in the wrong room. I've checked and double checked my coords using different "star data" and "star finder" stuff but they all tell me my coords are 3, 15.... IT HAS to be in here!! Did anyone else have trouble finding their spellbook? Any suggestions? I'm so close to finishing this!! It's driving me nuts!!

Well I started it two years ago when it first came out, so I dunno if that has anything to do with it.... I took a two year hiatus b/c of school. heh...

Does NO ONE remember this part of the quest?? lol I've clicked around EVERY bookshelf and I still haven't found the fricking spellbook...

About the spellbook: are you sure you did the calculations correct? Post your coordinates for The Sleeper, and Í'll double check it with you, if you'd like...

i found the book easily with the firefox extension named Linky... it opens all selected links in tabs...

so i just marked the picture of the library and selected "Linky/Open selected links in tabs" and checked which one was my spellbook... so i didn't have to look for the small areas linking to books myself...

Now click on the handle to the door in the Archives main hall, and enter the Altadorian Archives Library. Search for the Spellbook.

Take the co-ordinates for your very first constellation, The Sleeper, and add up all the X (first column) and Y (second column) numbers, you will be given the room number. Add all numbers in each column, reducing them to two digit numbers; ignore negatives.

Now highlight the banner that say "Altadorian Archives." Press TAB until you get the first book in the address across the bottom of your screen. Press enter; if it isn't the spellbook, press BACKSPACE and hit TAB again, then ENTER. Repeat until you have found the book.

For example, if your room is number arcx=21&arcy=15, Tab until the address says "arcx=21&arcy=15&read_book" followed by some more numbers and letters. Hit enter. If it isn't the Spell Book, hit backspace and highlight banner again, and tab to the next book.

You will get a message saying "You cast spell number 29,884. Nothing happens.

Return to the Hall of Heroes and look at the statue of the Darkest Faerie.

Put the Medallion on the Statue (click breastplate).....

 

*sigh* so apparently I'm supposed to click on the flames in The Darkest Faerie's hands in The Book of Ages, right? Well I've got the hunter constellation, my book has been updated, but her hands aren't clickable... 0.o wth? So I guess I can't move on with this thing until they are... I've backtracked the hell out of this so I KNOW I've done every other step right... I'm so confused...

Has anyone else ever had this problem??
