I think you could of done a bit more with them...

From what I can see you've used the same set of brushes.

Try and mix/match the brushes etc. You might find that you'll produce a better effect.

 

And try making your own brushes. It's fun!

 

I didn't use brushes though. D;

I've done that before. It is fun. :]
