I'm currently in the process of rebuilding a main account and playing neoquest 2. But its so damn long. Does anybody have any tricks that will help me beat it thats not so time consuming?
Hrmmm...could have sworn there was an autoplayer and/or autotrainer somewhere... MCheezie might know something about it?
There is a Neoquest 1 trainer. As far as i could find, theres no Neoquest 2 trainer/autoplayer available on Neofriends
Cheers Anfan, i'll have a crack at that. Also, does anybody know anywhere/know of the best skill builds for the characters. I've just been putting points into damage increase for Rohane and Direct Damage for Mipsy
Ya there is a GM script for NQ II - I beat it in like two weeks (playing only every other day for an hour or so)
If you want to read about them and gameplay style, you should go read the characters+skills section of my NQII guide. If you just want to defeat NQII ASAP, though, here's an abbreviate version. Spend your points in this order: Normal Mode Rohane 9 points in Damage Increase 2 points in Innate Magic Resistance 2 points in Damage Increase 11 points in Critical Attacks 11 points in Stunning Strikes 11 points in Innate Melee Haste *Don't put anything in Combat Focus or Battle Taunt, although I guess you could put 1-2 points in Battle Taunt if you really wanted to Mipsy 11 points in Group Direct Damage 6 points in Innate Melee Defence 11 points in Innate Casting Haste 11 points in Group Haste 11 points in Direct Damage *You can also use the above build for Evil mode, or on Evil mode you can switch to the build you'd be using for InSaNe - 11 points in Direct Damage instead of Group Direct Damage Talinia 11 points in Increase Bow Damage 10 points in Multiple Targets 11 points in Innate Melee Haste 2 points in Innate Magic Resistance 5 points in Shockwave 5 points in Ranged 5 points in either Shockwave or Ranged (personally I prefer Shockwave) Velm 11 points in Group Healing 11 points in Group Shielding 6 points in Innate Melee Defence 11 points in Innate Casting Haste And remember to, before your final boss battle and after you have your final equips, finish spending all the points that you haven't already spent. (e.g. if Rohane has 11 points in Innate Melee Haste but has a +4 bonus from one of his equips, don't spend any points there. Up his Innate Magic Resistance [example, although you really should up this before fighting Terask II] instead.)
Thanks for that Anfan. I can't give you another Rep point yet How long does it take ,roughly, to beat neoquest?
Uh, it depends...by now personally I've played through it so many times that it takes me about 3 days, and that's around school+homework. But I already know exactly what armor to buy at each shop in the game, and which NPCs I need to talk to, and where to find the NPCs that sell potions/equipment at each rest stop. Basically it depends on how much time you have and whether or not you've ever played NQII before. I'd recommend http://www.idnq-guide.com/index.php?page=maps for maps (although you'll probably only be using them for reference or in towns since that script I PM'd you autowalks), btw.
I find single healing a better option, particularly in the more difficult levels. Group Healing consumes more time, so it takes Velm longer for his next move to appear. This can get annoying against Terask. If somebody is in dire need of healing, I'll get them to consume one of the healing potions (which are easily accumulated throughout the game).
The worst part is Mipsy! Can't keep the silly b!tch alive! I had to go through the last 2 levels of the lost caves?(last level of terror mountain) and beat scuzzy with just Rohane and talinia. I actually beat him pretty easy with just the 2 of them. Used like 3 potions the whole fight on level 27. Rohane has already died in the lost desert section, not lookin forward to this part at all
