As you could read in my introduction topic:
    http://www.neofriends.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10274
    I've been working on a PHP/MySQL Autobuyer.

With some new technology I discovered today, I might be able to put it online (as a website) and make it available as a service to everybody.

Are there people here that are interested in such kind of website/service?

NO! Don't just put it online, you might get in really unwanted problems with TNT aswell as newbies will overuse it and it will turn Neopia into a big abing site.
I suggest you choose people that can use it, not everyone.

It will be a closed community anyway, for which I can people send invitations.

Dont worry, I'm not that stupid to leave it open for everybody.

Not available for newbies, hehehe

I just want to know if there are people interested in this kind of web service. Otherwise I could save myself the time putting it online.

The current interface is crap, and I have some changes to make before I can start running it online, but if there are people interested, its worth it.

The nice thing with php is that you can run it from a database. That offers the possibility to safe all kind of information so you don't have to browse the neopets site over and over. If a lot of users use the script, you can combine saved information from all kind of users for 1 goal. Getting multiple users wouldn't only help me, but help everybody thats using the program in that way.

Well you'll NEED to have proxy otherwise eberyone will have the smae ip adress not good. and this ab will be faster then a regualr one since the sever is almost certainly going to have a better connection than you.

I know that we need to use a proxy.
I'm still doing research on how to use it with my script. Thanx for the tip anyway ;)

    hm this sounds interesting.

Perhaps you can tie it into our point system that we have here.

Earn so many points and use them to gain authorization to the website.

I would be interested also. And I think with a website it would be easy for everyone to get their own proxy. Since most proxys and programs are browser based it would be easier.

I probably won't tie it to any sites point system so people who don't post much but are serious users would get a chance to use it also. This also has to do with the fact that I'm not a big poster for myself, and I want full control over the system.

You're forgetting the fact that the Neopets pages will be loaded from a webserver, and will have the web-servers IP attached. Therefore it's useless to set a local proxy, since it doesn't mask the web-servers IP.

I have to set the proxy in the php programming itself. Which, I think, is possible but needs some time and effort to get it working.

not only will it need a proxy, but it will need a different proxy for every single user, otherwise you still have the problem of tons of accounts abing on the same ip. also, I would have major concerns about how simple it would be to add in a couple lines that would forward your login and pass to an email box.

I'm down for it. Just put an authorization for level 2 users and up. For the people like me who can't download/install programs, it's a great idea.
