When I try to login, it tells me my password is incorrect . So I try old accounts of mine which are frozen and it STILL tells me password is incorrect, is Neopets messed up or have I been perma-banned or something? No I haven't fallen for any scams/cookie grabbers before anyone suggests lol.
What would it say if im IP banned when trying to make an account? I've also tried logging in through a proxy and the same thing happens, I put my email or username in the box to retrieve info and it says they don't exist .
Might be IP banned, have you been cheating on the site? One way to find out is to try to make a new account to see if you are IP banned. EDIT: oops you beat me to it Lazy >.< ~Parisdirt
Or of course caps lock. =P (Or that really annoying thing my keyboard does when it either spontaneously starts holding down SHIFT automatically, or switches to typing in Chinese and I don't notice.)
Nope checked all those things, weird thing was it was working fine last night but now they don't even have my email address apparently =/ this is weird.
Because NF is so awesome that it pwns the caps lock key...which, ironically, I just realized is spelled out entirely in the lower case on my keyboard. [...] Hmm...I'm guessing you've already checked your accounts exist, considering you even tried to get onto frozen accounts...mm, do you have any passwords memorized on your browser? (I'll be manually typing in a pass when a pass for another account gets automatically entered by my browser, then the spliced pass of course shows up as bad password.)
Youve been scammed im afraid, go on a different (new?) account ands check when the last time you were logged in was.
Nope passwords are being entered manually and not saved, so I KNOW they're correct. It acknowledges my account exists because it shows my pet name, but if I try to retrieve the password for that account, it tells me there's no valid email for it =/.
Have you mailed the staff about it? Not that doing that ever helps much. I have an old account I put a lot of time into, then didn't log in for like 5 years. Now I need the birthday for the account, which isn't correct of course, cause I'm stupid. Anyway, I emailed the staff about it and they have yet to get back to me, but it's worth a shot.
Sorry to say but I'm pretty sure you've been IP banned. I received the same problem as you a week ago. They don't give you any notice of being IP banned, you just happen to not be able to log into any account. Try using a proxy and logging into your accounts, it should get you in if you've been IP banned. As long as you've logged in, you can turn off the proxy and continue using that account even though you've been IP banned
