Well, today while filming, my foot hit my lens. It barely touched it, but was enough to knock one of the CCD's ribbons out. Its sony dcr-vx2000, a pretty sweet, yet pricey camera. I need help on finding the CCD, so i can put the ribbon into place, and put something to help keep it in. Its had this problem for a while, and every time i take it for them to put the ribbon back in, its been a lot, and i can't afford to pay it this time. I've had a lot of experience fixing crap like this, dealing with the ribbons and what not in them, so i don't think it'll be to hard. I just don't know which part or where to find the ribbon for the CCD ribbon. If you know anything or know anyone that can help, thanks
ahaha, I googled "sony dcr-vx2000 CCD ribbon" and the first topic was this: Unfortunately, can't find anything related to this issue. The closest thing I've found, this guy, fixed a VX1000 in video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy79BFavuKU And you can easily get the repair manual over the net but you have to pay around 15$ USD for it. Good luck !
Well, that was enough to help me fix it. I found the CCD ribbon out, and put it back in, and all works again. thanks
