Easycleaner is quite a good one if you ask me, that's the one I use. And it's free :)

I use ccleaner to clear out my internet history, temp files, and such. You should also go through your add/remove programs list and take out all those crap progs you've installed but never used.

http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/ (PC Tune-Up) Free 30 full trial and works amazing im plainging to buy it if i cant get serials for it. Cccleaner is good free but not as good as Pc tune up.

Quick info: pc tune up cleans up history files, temp files, reg errors, program errors, dead short cuts, speeds up computer, has a once click button you can press each day (more if you want) ... eh site explains it all i just give the product a 10/10 and great 30 day full trial

    16.4 gb... WOW
    Lmao, thats soooo much.

With my old desktop, when I used some of those programs, they deleted some useful things as well and screwed up my computer so I had to format.

I'm using that TuneUp program right now. It's been cleaning for over 12 hours already. Yes, I have the worst PC ever.

But my PC doesn't seem to be any faster yet :\

Im just confused what would take 12 hours to scan even on the slowest of computers

ok I really want to help you with this but I know little to nothing about your computer besides it has had many problems (over 5k) and is slow as hell. I don't know how much memory you have and such. But if I were you here are the fisrt steps I would take and yes i know you have done some so you can cross them off for now.

    PC tune-up -

On the first button called Start page make sure all is optimized (green check mark) if there are recommendations read them over and optimize them accepting them for the speed section. This should help the speed a little even if you don't notice it. Its a start.

2nd button is increase performance go through all on this list one by one.

3rd button is clean up disk space clean up the unnecessary files and backups, as for the windows functions located under it disable the ones you really dont need you can always enable it later on.

4th button and last to worry about for now is clean up windows button go through the first 3 list items leaving the uninstall manager alone.

(though you probably already have all of the above done)

    Uninstall programs -

With this go through all your programs and get rid of all the programs you really don't need or use and be sure to uninstall them properly and you can even use the pc tune-up uninstall manager if your not sure how to do it. after doing that go through another disk defrag.

if you have a lot of music, pictures and or other documents that take up space try puting them on disk or storage device, i find music and pictures tends to get the best of me at times.

Now clean up files like temp files and internet files and such

I know the above is pretty common knowledge but its a check list i go though each time but as I said i dont know much about your computer. The other option is you can go out and buy a new computer or even more memory. That or you can wipe your computer of all your files you have placed there do a clean up and start fresh XD

Lol Dreamerz, I really did all that. Most of them a few times now.

But this PC is just.. Quite dead :-( It's 4 year old or so now. But the problem is, my dad has tons of stuff on here for his job, so I can't just wipe it all and reinstall windows. I've suggested that several times, but he can't be bothered to do it :-(

And I've been trying to get my own PC for like 2 years now, but there's no room left in the house XD

Use CCleaner and download a free trial of tune-up utilities. Both programs work well if you're trying to cleanup some old programs and files. I do it every month.
