Anyone know how games = points in Altador Cup?

I've found rank calculators that explain how many games = what rank and that's beautiful, but has anyone ever figured out how the games played convert into points? I'm just wondering what it is I should be doing, ya know? Like, you don't need to score high on Yooyuball to get credit for a game, but does a higher score = more points in the end? Or is it the rank you end with that's more important? Does a Rank 4 player who averaged 9 goals a game get more or less prize points than a Rank 9 player who averaged 1 goal per game?

 

I'm pretty sure point is one YYB, two Slush, and SIX MSN and SS.

 

According to SunnyNeo 1 point is 12 games of MSN or SS, not 6.

But I have no idea about prizes...tbh, I didn't know there were prizes for the Altador Cup. I quit right before the first one. :/

 

Eheh, you guys are talking about how games convert into rank points.

I'm talking about how it all converts into prize points that you use in the prize shop after the cup is over. If anyone knows how that works, I'd be interested to find out.

 

If I could remember what I had in prize points I would be able to figure it out, I will do a little research and update you if I can figure it out.

EDIT: Ok quick research done and if I am correct that about every 1 point = 11.9-12 prize shop points so if you had 1405 points meaning you were level 16 you would have about 16800 points give or take to spend at the prize shop

 

If you're right that would mean that you'd get no more prize points for winning a game of Yooyuball 10-0 than you would for winning 1-0, and that getting a score of 2000 on Slushie Slinger would equal the same amount of prize points as a score of 300.

So scoring extra goals would be a waste? o_x

 

I just thought about that myself! and it will be very interesting if it do work like that. If I could find more resources of who scored what and how many points the received for the prize shop I could possibly find out for sure.

As for scoring extra goals being a waste for prizes possibly if it works out that way but regardless more points scored helps the team you are on.

If it is the same as last year 1 point = 12 prize points I now have confirmed it! The "extra" goals you get for winning games just help your team maybe become the winner
