Okay, I just installed Windows Vista on bootcamp on my mac about a week ago so I could play pc games. The only things installed on the thing is battlefield bad company 2 and firefox. And I sometimes use an ABer for neopets I downloaded from here.

I think it has a virus. I can't browse any google websites while I'm using bootcamp. No gmail. No google.com. I tried installing firefox instead of IE, but it also can't view google sites.

It's hella strange... and I'm tired of restarting just to get on my mac side so I can view my email. Any one know any solutions to this?

Well you can try to clear the partition on your Mac and reinstall windows to see what the deal is there. I don't know how helpful it'd be but if you don't have Bootcamp 3.1, try to upgrade it to that first.

It could also be some sort of ISP problem, did you try connecting to internet else where and see if it works? Although it'd make no sense why Mac OS would work and Windows won't.

I'm probably going to do that when my brother is able to get me the windows installation disc again from his apartment. But for now it's not too big of a problem.. and guess what? Today when I logged onto my bootcamp all the sudden google is showing through mozilla firefox's default homepage. And I can go to gmail.. but for some reason I can't go to google.com specifically. I'm too paranoid now to log into my gmail while I'm in pc mode though. But it isn't too big of a deal since all I do is check this forum and use some pc games anyway.

Well, when you install bootcamp, you open your Mac to tons of viruses.

After you fix this, perhaps you should use a basic antivirus (something free like Avast! or AVG) when you're on Windows. Perhaps you can get some anti-spyware software as well.

Agreed Norton works great for me. My grandparents have McAfee which seems to also work pretty well

I don't know if you want to use Parallels if you want to AB or anything that requires internet connection. I've used Parallels before and my internet is just slower when using it... If you're just doing little things.. It's the way to go.. But if not, stick to Bootcamp with a virus protection program.
