Ok so I have a housemate who is always downloading stuff, which on a 2M connection severly cuts down the speed I can RS at.

Is there anyway of cutting his bandwidth to say...50kb/s without his knowing?

I have full access over the router and modem.

    Thanks :)

Well, we need to know witch router you're using...
You can throttle the connections on some but not all...
Like mine, I've got an old dlink di-524 and there's no option there to do so...

Edit: Forgot to say something: You can also go on is computer while is not there and change the maximum number of TCP/IP connection available for windows to something like 5 (suppose to be at 50 or something like this). He won't anywhere with that :D specialy if he like using torrent

Ok, so, I can't find anything relating to traffic throttling for your router. :(

BUT, here's the information you need about the TCP/IP thing ;)
