Don't laugh at me. What are the advantages of training your pet? I mean, you spend a lot of money on it, then you spend money on the weapons, and then you can go to the battledome to do ... what exactly? I don't see any rewards So please, explain it to me?
Aside from trophies and avatars, there isn't much more. You might get the extra points in plots to get better prizes. I'm an active battledomer, because it's something to do on neopets. However, if you're only after neopoints to sell, it's probably not worth it. However, you could make some neopoints if you lab a neopet up to a certain standard
Treat the battledome like any other game on neopets. If you aren't interested in wasting time playing games, then you won't be interested in the BD. The only hitch about the BD is that the more you invest, the more time you can waste playing the game. I haven't played in several years, but I used to be a BDer, and from what i hear 2 player matches have become increasingly boring and cookie-cutter due to the fact that people have trained their pets so well and the fact that TNT just hasn't been popping out weps like they used to. On the flip side, 1 player BD can get boring and tedious because you fight the same opponents over and over, but there is certainly satisfaction in winning. Probably the biggest use of having a good BD pet is for whenever there is a war or plot that involves BD. Then you can contribute more and maybe get more rewards (although it's more about pride for me than it is the np...)
Dont forget. You also have that pride of having a strong pet. People come to your user lookup and will be wowed by how strong your pet is .
Seeing as I am totally not interested in that, I don't think I'll go for a battledome pet I've been training my pet the last few days, but I'll stop that immediately.
