They are always fighting and acting like they know everything about neofriends and own this place. BOOOOOO!
*peeks out from behind the corner* I know I'm only new, but i'm already finding noobs so annoying ... personally, the ones who bug me most though are the spammers ... can't remember what his name was, but i think it was yesterday pretty much every thread i went in some noob had posted "cool". Meh, it irritates me.
haha, I've been here a long time and we have never had a noob problem THIS big.. Noobs just need to read the rules, follow them, and not be so childish and annoying.
wow, don't you just feel cool now? XD lol, I think this is pretty harsh. New people just need to adjust and learn the rules..
I kinda agree that newbies might not know the rules etc, but they should read the rules before posting. It's only courtesy.
i know theirs more ppl then mc higher lvl ppl that feel this way my self included and thus why weve been saying theirs a need for more mods but sadly these crys seem to be un heard...
freejah, the posts you read are 99% AFTER mods have edited them, deleted 99% of the noobs posts, removed any swearing, and edited all double/triple posts out xD Noobs aren't as bad as everyone makes out. Tbh it's winding me up on NF these days "community is dead, we have no new members or active discussions" then when we do get activity and new members people moan about them. We can't win, everyone starts of bad, my first post was begging for an autobuyer And i only came for MSAB and then planned to leave but fell in love with the people and friendlyness and it inspired me Give them a break.
Who's in charge of recruiting mods? There seem to be a few people around who aren't mods but who'd make good ones. I also kinda agree with you SoC, it's hard enough to join a new forum where everyone seems to already know each other and be pretty close, but it's even harder to see posts about how new members are oh-so-annoying. Kinda makes you wonder whether there's not a more welcoming board out there somewhere.
I know SoC :3 I mean.. there's more ways to say it. Saying "boo you, you're childish and annoying" would make me kinda mad. I know it's not written to someONE in particular, but anyway.. ¨ LOL
We have enough members in my opinion. The influx of noobs is just killer since the video competition, so many spammers and just rude people.
hahaha and that's fine. You have your opinion and I have mine. That's just the way it works, not everyone wins.
Funnily enough ive just talked about getting a new mod in the mod forum we'll see what happens and mcheezie that's your view I think the new members are a breathe of fresh air and gives me a job instead of gambling all day long LOL
I have to say though, i do agree with the suggestion i read in the help forum ... that members cannot get level 1 unless they've been here a week. Would probably help stop the spamming to some extent.
Oh I love the new members, don't get me wrong. Just the noobs, NOT the newbies. Everyone is trying to make me feel bad but I stand by what I say. noobs are the really obnoxious members who don't last 3 days.
I mean when someone joins and instantly spams every forum and goes on wrecking the forum I think they should be banned. If you join a new place its common sense to read the rules.
well of course there are going to be new members that annoy and spam but we have gained some new contributing members also. Yes there is allot of spamming by newer members but thats just a small fraction of newbs to begin with. The other community of newbs actually contribute and to me seem like they will become a part of this community.
I can understand what MCheezie's sayin. When I joined like 6 weeks ago there was pretty much no spam except for newbies (like me) making mistakes in judgment. But since the video contest and Ricky's tags there have been like 3 or 4 people in the span of a week who just destroy topics with spam. I'm not talkin "oh thanks" spam I'm talkin about people posting the same smiley hundreds of times. Its not cool. What I don't understand is why anyone would do that. They can't possibly think that getting access to the programs would be that easy.
