Ok so I downloaded a Bricopack, which changed my computers appearance to a vista theme,(This was a few months ago), and it seems as though my computer has slowed since the download, I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of this theme, and get back my original windows XP look. I've tried the "Add or Remove" section, but can't seem to find the brico pack there, and since I got this pack quite a while ago, I can't do a system restore to an earlier time. Is there any other way to get rid of this Package?
Try to uninstall from here start menu --> Programs --> BricoPacks --> CrystalXP -> Uninstall Else if there is an uninstall.exe in your program files folder try that..(C:\WINDOWS\Packs\Crystal XP\Uninstall.exe)
OK, I did it Thanks you. But now some of my icons are blanck squares, like the recycling bin. Is there a way to fix that?
Try TweakUI;-http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/a/fca6767b-9ed9-45a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe You need to clear the Icon Cache. To do so, download and install TweakUI. The open the Start Menu -> All Programs -> Powertoys for Windows XP -> TweakUI. At the the bottom of the TweakUI window, you have the Repair option. Select Repair icons and press Repair Now (then reboot computer).. The icons should return to normal.. This tip is taken from http://www.crystalxp.net/forum/en/Windo ... 343_1.htm..
