Can someone explain Gold Digging to me?

    So I lurk BD Chat a lot, and I've come across something called Gold Digging several times, now what does that mean exactly? XD

    Too be honest I have no idea in this sense, but knowing what it means in real life, I bet it is people who are trying to become friends with the BD chatters so that the BD chatters will give them gifts and stuff. So those people are just trying to get free neopoints essentially, but that is just my guess
