chain freezing/ip banning

so i was looking at the board about ionut getting ip banned, and i thought "what has the greatest chance of getting you chain frozen/ip banned"? i think ab'ing would be the main one. ionut is the first person i've heard of who got ip banned (and chain frozen?) for 'cheating on flash games'. can you also get chain frozen/ip banned for posting 'inappropriate pictures'? :?

 

He probabaly isnt IP banned, his Internet is prolly being evil

say i got someone else an avatar or something like that on THEIR account (using a program), and tnt froze it, and if they wanted to chain ice that person, would they chain ice THEIR accounts, or mine? :?

 

I think TNT try and trace your ip and see if you login to other accounts and freeze them too. Im not sure when its safe to login to another account though.

yeah, but if the account that got frozen wasn't mine (for example, i logged in to get them an avvie or something), then who's accounts would get chain iced? mine, or theirs?

 

if you both logged on frequently from the same IP, yours and his would be iced.

 

okay, what if i rarely ever logged into his account? would their account get chain iced then? =/

 

i can't say for sure, but I don't think theirs would be chain iced then, if yours was the one iced in the first place. or vice versa

 

Chain icing is common... very common, especially in an ABing situation. Ip banning is very rare.
I don't think you could get IP banned just for pics.

 

okay, let me rephrase that :lol:
say their account got frozen WHILE i was on it. would tnt track the last ip address that was on it and freeze any accounts under that, or find the ip address that the account usually logs on from, and chain freeze the accounts under that?

Um, I'm not entirely sure on this point, but I don't think your accounts are in trouble, unless it was banned for something you did while on it.

 

I can log with a proxy but can't log normally? says bad passwords of any of your accounts? that's IP BANNED and yes i am ip banned i feel soooo proud to be here :lol: :lol: :lol:

IP ban is very rare..those like Ad0 would deserve IP ban
but like the rest of us here..just frozen

 

IP bans must stink...
Sorry about that. I would personally just go to another site and leave this alone.
