I live in South Texas, so Cinco de Mayo is kind of a big deal. Does anyone else care that it's that day again?

I think that it's something about a mexican army triumph.

My Spanish class had a pinata for it today...

It's sort of funny because I don't even know what all happened on this day :p.

    cinco de mayo

Cinco de Mayo is this Hispanic holiday, which really is nothing more than an excuse to party haha. It marks some battle Mexico won over France or something like that.

Sounds exciting, as a student I feel I ought to add it to my list of days to get drunk on to celebrate things.

I work in a Mexican restaurant so we celebrate Cinco de mayo all weekend, the staff had to dress up in there 'favourite mexican outfit' I am a miserable sod and don't own any mexican attire so I didn't dress up. We had a big fundraising weekend with raffles and things to raise money for childrens charities.
