Do you think that cloning is good or bad?

  1. Good, we can discover and benefit a lot from it.

  2. Bad! It's cruel to the testing animals and it's useless.

I've never really seen the point of cloning things and I'm wondering what uses it will have from the point of view of society in general. Also, I'm wondering what others think of cloning.

There are certain pros and cons to clong, pros such as perhaps testing for a cure and cons such as the act being immoral. I feel that it is a bad thing, cloning is simply against nature.

I put "yes" for several reasons... But I do not like how they "test" on animals.

There are some great things to come from cloning... if we can manage to clone effectively... we might beable to clone "organs" to help alot of people needing transplants

I would say that cloning is either bad or good. The good part of cloning, as stated earlier, is to help to create healthy organs for the sick who need it. Bad part... it violates the laws of three polytheistic religions: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.

I can see what everyone is saying, I'm still sitting on the fence about cloning things..both sides of the debate bring up some very good points.

Oh yeah, Judaism and Christianity are both monotheistic religions (not polytheistic).

Cloning is definitely helpful. Its a cause thats beneficial to mankind. I don't know about you, but I would rather do something beneficial for mankind and be it immoral than just sit back and do the moral thing and watch people suffer and die.

Everyone has to die eventually, and by prolonging their lives, you're essentially prolonging their agony. Just my opinion, but I have to say most will disagree with cloning. :?

Yeah I understand that, but I really don't unterstand the argument of being immoral. I would its more immoral to watch people suffer than try to help them.

Well I just feel it goes against nature to duplicate living things/cells, especially for humans. People might want to live forever, and thus ask for clones to be made so that when they die, they can use their clones and sort of thing(I watched a movie on something like that), and it's simply wrong, the ppopulation will just keep growing, soon there will be shortage of food, job etc.

People seem to think that cloning is bad because it is "against nature". Well, you must understand that many things do this. Clothes for instance are not objects created by nature. So, do you think we should all run around naked? Consider all sides to an argument before you make one yourself. I voted yes, because we can benefit ALOT from cloning. Imagine this: A near infinite supply of food! If we could geneticly engineer livestock/plants people would not have to go hungry. the only cons are religous beliefs.

cloning seems really idiotic to me, lets see...the world is running out of natural unreuseable resources so lets just increase the population and run out of this resources, even if we could clon resources where would we all live, its really stupid

And another con is that if there is a major tyrant, terrorist, or dictator and they have a cloning device, they can clone tons of armies and nuclear weapons/artillery. So it'd just be creating a humongously devastating world war.

cloning machine? this is the REAL world, not science fiction... a clone has completely different experiences from every other clone, not to mention it take 20 years to grow up...
