ok.. so I'm just trying this out... I have never used any imaging software before

But since im cheap im using paint.net

I made this (with a tutorial)

Designed to be a guild banner for my guild

Any comments... I think the words stand out too much...

Any suggestions on making them blend better?

    Edit:

I totally forgot to link it in!!!

nice, looks more like lava than fire to me though. If your program supports transparancy, try putting the words in front of the flames in black at like 80% opacity. I think that would look nicer and it would help you get it into more of a banner shape.

I like it. I think the text looks out of place, though.

It's pretty cool, the bg's fine but (dno if paint.net works this way but) you should make the text layer blend in overlay mode or hard light and then add a border with a color that you think it can match those flames.
